Re: Wolves - back from the sofa

We very rarely look capable of keeing a clean sheet under Adkins. His teams at Southampton & Scunny always let goals in (and scored a fair few aswell) and i cant see that changing here. Admittedly 2 goals were down to individual errors but we a conceding too many especially at home. Bringing a h...

If you could get somebody to work hard infront of him he'd do a job at right back. Can't be any worse than the other two clowns who've played there this season

Re: Back from the game

We need to sort the back out Gorkks has got to be dropped he was utter shitte, hes a liability Oh and Gunter needs to be dropped too Couldn't agree more..... Morrison and Mariappa at CB please. If Cummings isn't injured how Gunter is getting a game is beyond me...... Because Cummings is gash too - ...

Re: 1st reason why McDermott should go - No Guthrie

So right now our best players are Tabb, who no one at the beginning of the season could figure out what he was still doing here, and Shorey, who was picked up for cover? Explains alot actually... :? Agree with this man time and time again. As soon as we signed Shorey it was pretty obvious he would ...

Tricky one but i'd go back to Pog and Hunt upfront. Pog is more likely to get a goal than Roberts and has a better touch. Hunt is easily the best in the air despite being the shortest

Re: Guthrie told to stay away...

I suspected there may have been some sort of fall out. He's obviously pissed off not to be playing but lets face it he hasn't covered himself in glory when he has played. Very bad timing with karacans injury. At this rate Brynar could get a recall, desperate times!

Re: Fake Hoops Build Up Thread - Getting tasty at the bottom

Wouldnt say they are 'there for the taking'. The fact is like the vast majority of teams in this league they have better quality players than us and it will be a very difficult game. Would love i if we beat them though, Hughes will be on his way if we do surely?!

Re: The next game could define our season!

I would say Fulham at home is much more likely to define our season. Could nick a point at Anfield though, Liverpool tend to raise their game for the likes of man u at home but against the lesser teams they often struggle

Re: Drop Mcanuff for Newcastle?

Before the start of this season i was ridiculed on this site for suggesting Macanff wouldn't be good enough at this level and at some point Brian would have to drop him. He will play on sat but i think i'll be proved right in the long term.

This is dependant on Roberts being fit. Think it would be a game too far for Harte, and Karacan bearing in mind in mind how long he's been out

4-5-1, bit harsh on Alf but purely tactical. Got a feeling Hunt may play wide. Not too worried about our lack of pace at the back cos i expect us to be defending fairly deep!

Re: Back from the Game - Stoke City (H)

After a day drinking in the sun ive now recovered sufficiently to give a view on the game! Thought we started pretty well without creating much and were the better side initially. I think Mcd is right the goal definetly knocked the stuffing out of us for a while, of all the games for feds to make a ...

Re: Area of weakness that remains....

im quite happy with the squad as it is, guthrie will hopefully chip in with a few from midfield. my worry is will brian be strong enough to drop Jobi at some point even though he is captain. he was inconsistent last season, lacks end product and could struggle in the prem, we cant afford to be 'carr...

Re: SIGNED - Nicky Shorey

Dont understand the negativity over this signing. People have got short memories, in our relegation season shorey was far from the only one to underperform and get a bit above himself. Overall he served the club superbly and is still an excellent player. He's not the strongest full back defensively ...

Re: And at Right Back

We need to sign a right back, im not sure about cummings in the prem. Brian cant be convinced either as he played both connelly and mullins ahead of cummings late in the season. if connelly had stayed fit he would of kept his place. Jem could do a job there but only in emergencies i think
