Re: Rival Watch

Cardiff look to have big plans this season. I thought they were in danger of breaching FFP but obviously not. the proposition of a 6-9 point deduction the season after their push for promotion is a decent risk to take if you ask me.... If it pays off, great! If it doesn't they should still have a s...

Re: Next Reading Manager

If P. Ince stays on, it's definitely a good incentive for T. Ince to stay on. Watch some kids football and you'll quickly realise that having a parent as a coach is often far from a positive experience for the kid. +1, my old man was a coach when I was playing kids football and it wasn't the best e...

Re: Your first game watching Reading FC

Mid 90s and Elm Park. I was 11 and we had Wolves in the Coca Cola Cup in a midweek game under the flood lights! Magic!! Walked into the south bank just before kick off and saw my mate from school sitting on the rafters in the roof to watch the game. Mark McGhee was Wolves boss and got a hard time, R...

Re: Ho(ut)we

Seems sensible and I would imagine we have put a 'Jack Stacey-esque' deal in place where we will be compensated further down the line if he comes good.

Good luck to him.

Franchise FC
Old Man Andrews
Theroyalbox
If Oxford beat Man City on Wednesday does that mean they are the better team?

No they play in different leagues. Leeds and West Brom are separated by 2 points in the same league.

Hope that helps.

And Leeds are NOT the team with more points - Hope that helps

Re: How times change

We were beating them comfortable more recent than that though.

Did the double over them in the 2006/7 season and that included a 2-0 away win!

Re: Phil Parkinson is waiting.

Facts, back in 106 our record breaking season we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English/ British squad. The last time we were promoted in 2011-2012 we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English /British squad. Unless I am mistaken, we fielded 6 British ...

Re: Speculation: Ethan Amapadu

This could happen. We had Baker on loan last season who progressed better with us than at his previous loan clubs. Maybe Chelsea will consider us a good environment for their talented youth players development. He would certainly be one of the first names on the team sheet every week.

BraisingsteakRoyal Wayne Routledge?

Better record than Leroy Fer and an upgrade on McCleary. Seems to still be playing plenty of games consistently.

5 years older that Fer though and 3 older than McCleary.

Re: Liam Moore Interview

It's commendable to put yourself out there like that as a Pro footballer, and he sounds like a good chap, emphasising that effort > talent a lot in the interview, which is one of those things that is very much the reading way. When we have overachieved (under McDermott especially) it has been becau...
