Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Jenas is definitely my fave at the moment. One of the only more recently ex-players who is positive in most of his commentary - seeing what weaker teams were trying to do, without it coming off, not just saying it was rubbish and what on earth were they thinking trying that against the might of Man ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Southampton (A) - Checkatrade Trophy Last 32

Just to add - I though Barrett was outstanding in the second half, slightly selfish but his driving runs really propelled the team forward. I would hope to see him included on the bench at some point this season. We fully deserved the win tonight, and really should have won it during normal time. I...

Re: Royal Elm Park

More likely he works for the catering contractors rather than the football club. Probably just trying to make himself seem more important. Silly to give credence to utter supposition. Definitely this, having previously worked for the catering company myself (in a completely different area) - all ho...

Re: Good old boy

In the stadium on Saturday Good Old Boy wasn't showing on their tills (at least to start with) so they were told to put it through as Carlsberg - I don't know if this is why it was more expensive on Saturday.

6ft Kerplunk Have to say it wasn't that well publicised. I had no idea there was a friendly on Sunday until Saturday when they mentioned it during the cup final.

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

Sorry if I missed this - I'm pretty sure it has been answered - but where do you pick up the buses to Mereoak after the game? Might try it on Friday, I assume they run that late on a match day? Thank you :) Pick the bus up where it drops you off. Bottom of the hill behind the away end on the rounda...

In for first game of the season!

I work the other side of London Bridge and can normally get off between 3 and 4, which would have made some nice drinking time, but sods law has dictated that this Tuesday I have a meeting in the wharf until 17:30

Absolutely definitely in - is Mr BK's birthday weekend, and also Champions League final day - that's a hell of a good day of drinking and football there.

Re: Blackburn (H) - Back from the game

Fair play to Gunts to do his best to still get back and prevent the goal despite the foul, doesn't put his hands up just gets on with the job in hand, sad thing that he might have actually got the foul had he done (though maybe not with that ref!)

Re: BFTG QPR

Have a feeling this might have been just the game Obita needed. He definitely struggled against Hoilet but stick with it and I think he'll learn as much from this one game as all his other left back appearances combined. I said exactly that about him playing the guy onside for the goal - that will ...

Second closest away game for us (20 mins!), but we've been summoned to see the vicar overseeing our pending nuptials in the New Forest.....needless to say Mr BK is not impressed!
