Re: Palace Fans Thoughts

Speroni is one of the best goalies in the championship, and were it not for him we would have scored a couple more.

Re: More than just a Rumour? Sonko to Stoke

This is quite simply the best news and funniest signing of the season. Sonko has lost a yard of pace and is frankly awful, wonderful news.

Rosenior's passing beggars belief... the sooner Murty is back the better.

Re: Match Ratings

USA 6 Rosenior 4 Sonko 8 (nothing he could do about the sending off, penalty was iffy) Ingimarsson 6 S Hunt 5 Kebe 6 Harper 6 Cisse 5 Convey 6 Doyle 6 Lita 4 Subs: N Hunt 6 Long, Pearce N/A. I'm sorry but I cannot let this pass. Perhaps you were at the game for which I will give you respect and the...

Re: Doyle

Adds some real hard work, where you need to grind out results Doyle can have a real effect grinding down defenders with his pace and work rate. Good signing imho and gives you something a bit different.

A hearty LOL at this thread. He might have a bit of trickery about him, but he is no Glen Little, who would have ripped Forest's horrendous left back to pieces today.

Re: RFC -v- AVFC - Match thread

Thought we played ok, but it is important to remember Villa had a decent number of reserves on. Bad point of the game was Cisse, looked poor and lacked the positional sense to anticipate and get the tackle in. Karacan on the other hand looked a lot more tenacious.

Re: Tommy Burns RIP

RIP - i remember as a youngster seeing Tommy in a motorway service station up near manchester. He was clearly with friends and completely out of the Reading FC environment, but was happy to chat to me, give me an autograph, and he came across as an absolutely lovely bloke. I know the season is over ...

Re: Are we overlooking something??

It is a fair comment - in previous years we have looked fit and have scored numerous late goals (often a sign of fitness - Bolton away springs to mind). This year we looked tired in games and we stopped running conceeding late - Man City, trying to think of some others but i'm sure there are. It is...

Re: Are we overlooking something??

I don't know what Hugo has said or done elsewhere... should I start a new thread for the people who may be interested in whether the new sports scientist made a difference and thus can discuss it sensibly?

Why try to ruin a perfectly reasonable good thread? Hugo has a point here.

Re: Mr Angry's thread revisited... I love Coppell

I hope I will not be the only one at Derby who will proudly sing 'For Steve Coppell Stand Up'. All those in support of the man who has led us to our three best ever finishes, vocalise it, because if you do those who think he should be sacked will be shown up as merely a reactionary minority. Steve C...

Re: Team for Tottenham

I'd go for: USA Rosenior Duberry Ivar Shorey Hunt Bikey Harper Convey Lita Kits Bench: Doyle, Little, Matejovsky, Cisse, Fed. Bring Doyle, Little, Matejovsky on later if we are pushing forward. Let's not forget spurs are a quality team with some good individuals, yes they have not played well but th...
