Re: Fans Forum on Thursday

Silver Fox But how could you ever know?

An old fashioned, slightly archaic thing called common sense I imagine.

Re: Worst matchday experience?

A large group of young thugs (well, prolly four or five of them) took exception to me and m8 walking back to the station in Wigan once. There was a bit of shoving, a bit of shouting "Come on then!", was just about to turn nasty when the popo turned up. Not much of a story but it's the best...

Re: When was your first Reading game?

Alexander Litvinenko
Green Bolton v Reading at Wembley 1995.

And there's a nice symmetry to it as my last one was Swansea v Reading at Wembley in 2011.

Were there any in between?

:?

What can I say Dirk, I've always been a fan of the big occasion.

What are you using to send the emails out?

Presumably some kind of web based tool like vertical response?

Re: Fans Forum on Thursday

As an organisation that should be doing it's level best to represent all Reading fans, it's doing a great job of alienating many regular posters here, myself included. I'm not overly convinced that you actually need any further assistance in that regard. As a moderator more interested in making che...

Re: Technical Suggestion for HNA & STAR

I think the stumbling block is that if they post stuff up here it gives people the right of reply.

Perhaps they could liaise with Graham to have a read only forum or something?

FAO Hobnob

I am sure a lot on here will not sympathise but it is the posts such as many on this thread that is the reason the rest of the STAR Board are not willing to post on here. There are not enough masochists on the Board to take on the constant abuse and negativity here. There will be efforts to communi...

Won't come on here to communic8, but will be on here quick as a flash to silence anyone who so much as repeats an anecdote from the forum.

It's all a bit pathetic isn't it?

Re: Southampton Away - Bubble Trip?

Still a bit unsure about the logistics of it. What's to stop you getting off the coach outside the ground then not going in to ground but making str8 for the nearest boozer to start a fight? If you just want to go there and start a fight in a boozer, why go to the hassle of buying and match ticket ...

Re: Southampton Away - Bubble Trip?

How do they enforce it, if you're not in colours? How do they distinguish between someone going to Southampton for other reasons and someone going from Reading for football? Or is it just the last bit getting in the away end that is only possible if you've gone the official route? I'm ok now as I l...

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000

TBF I'm happy going unrepresented, I don't really yearn for such an organisation to exist.

What does get my goat is STAR claiming to be a body that champions Reading supporter's interests.

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000

It's not really about the money, it's the principle.

I wouldn't join if they paid me £10 (perhaps in the form of a money off voucher at the megastore, or discounted coach travel)

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000

Yeh, why not join an organisation that doesn't represent your views so that you can change it to represent your views?

For just £10 :!:
