Compo's Hat Hope STAR realise everyone will be able to hear this on the BBC!

I just saw a bloke dressed in a bobble hat and scarf in a full Reading kit with Anton's name on the back go into Maplin's and buy up their entire stock of radio frequency jammers.

Re: RFC supporters on Radio 5 Live this Thursday evening

Yeh that's fair. And I guess out of every thousand extra members you might gain if you get three or four that actively get involved then it could make all the difference.

Re: RFC supporters on Radio 5 Live this Thursday evening

Why did you resign, Dirk :?: Three main reasons, which I outlined in a long (and probably highly tedious) resignation letter. I'll précis below : 1. STAR was, in my opinion, far too risk-averse and far too resistant to change. Some decisions had recently been made at the time that I was deeply unha...

Re: Agents fees

We tend not to pay a lot for players. As The Swiss Ramble ( a blog on football finances ) stated, in the last 4 years up to 2011, we were in the bottom 4 for net transfer spend (just below Watford), yet in the top six for wages. Our wages bill the year before last for the football side was around £...

Re: Agents fees

Surely we need to see the figure expressed as a percentage of transfer or wage fees for this to be a meaningful figure, Bucks Dave :?:

Or am I missing something :?:

Oh, and:
GCallaghan He passionately believes that football is a working man's game

Why are you posting on a Reading forum then :?:

This might sound hard to believe but down here it's pretty much a family game now.

Re: The Future of the Football Fan‏

GCallaghan Steve is a former bricklayer and is the only MP to have two Premier League football clubs in his constituency.

Sorry to be a pedant but I can't let this pass.

Re: Tense, nervous headache?

Bit indifferent for a long time tbh but I hear you floyd.

My main excitement at promotion was the prospect of having three away games within walking distance of my flat but even that's been tempered by the realisation that Chelsea are charging £50 for tickets. Fvck that for a game of football.

Re: Team GB @ The Olympics

54 minutes in and getting tired of hearing "Team GB" already. "Great Britain" shurely, all the other nations are referred to by country. And it's UK anyway isn't it? Northern Irish olympians compete for us surely? The British Olympic Association has resisted the idea of changing...
