Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window Deadline Day

Spotted: Andy Bernal hiding in the bushes in my back garden. I chased him off but he's left his baby oil and jazz mags behind! No doubt a press release later will claim he was just going for a jog, but got lost.

Re: Blackpool (A) - Match Thread sponsored by a day at the s

Ahaa, you are Sir John Madejski and I claim my £5.00! On a serious note as a newly-relegated team I would expect our wage bill to be in the top three for the division. Our budgets would have included such risk so we really shouldn't be forced in to a position to sell to buy. Investment in scouting ...

Re: Blackpool (A) - Match Thread sponsored by a day at the s

Readingensian - You're brushing over the fact that quite a lot of our players are on bumper money these days - Pearce, Kebe, HRK, Pog, McAnuff, Drenthe, Williams, Bridge, McCarthy, Roberts, Mariappa to name a few. We've not sold anyone & had the annual summer sale. We are spending more money th...

Re: Blackpool (A) - Match Thread sponsored by a day at the s

Just the 94 goals left to secure promotion then Nigel. That's only 2.24 goals per game. The answer is quite simple... ALFIE>>>BLACKMAN. And please spare me the notion that we're looking at bringing a couple of lads in next week. We won't be spending anything like enough money to secure promotion. W...

New Napoli kits unveiled last night in their pre-season win over Galatasary. It's a definite 'IN' from me for the camouflage third shirt. Forza Napoli!

Re: F*ck off Mark McGhee

Unbelievably McGhee will play number two to Gordon Strachan for the Scottish national side. Surely the SFA had better options than this has been, much failed manager!?

Even more reason to LOL@Scotland, as if we needed any!

What A Corker Magazine

I recently found this project on my Twitter feed. What A Corker is a new football magazine that is asking for investors to raise £1,750 to enable them to publish three trial issues. The aim is to make it a self-sustainable project with the ultimate goal of producing a fourth issue. Sounds an interes...

Re: RUMOUR - Stoppila Sunzu

ITV have picked up the free-to-air TV rights for this years ACON. They will be showing 20 games in total, including every game from the quarter-final stage onwards. Looking forward to seeing Stoppila in action! http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2012-12-22/watch-2013-africa-cup-of-nations-liv...

Re: Rumour - Darren Bent

I'd wee my pants in excitement if Squeeky can pull this one off. However, I very much doubt we'd be in for him. As you rightly say, WCBAP and surely would command a sizeable transfer fee. Well beyond us at this moment in time I fear.

Love it. Great song and a cracking video to represent the heritage of the club and town. Any chance of the lyrics being posted?

Re: "Iconic Manager" for Notts Forest

Heard an interesting rumour today at work from a Forest fan. Before I begin let me clearly state that I do not claim to be ITK, just passing on what I have heard today! Steve Coppell is to be appointed as DoF with Sean O'Driscoll as head coach. This might come as a shock to most as the pair were onl...

Re: MORE THAN A RUMOUR - Stuart Taylor

Perhaps leaving him at home to train with the development squad is for the best. If he is offered a deal I would expect him to only be used in a emergency due to injury/suspension of the two first choice 'keepers and Andersen being out on loan. He would provide excellent experience to the reserve si...

Re: The official Portugal 2012 thread - Sponsored by Nando's

Brian McDermott has named a 28-man squad to travel to Portugal today. Pavel Pogrebnyak is part of the group travelling to the Algarve, while young winger Jordan Obita and fledgling goalkeeper Jonathan Henly are also included. All of our new signings are also involved, giving them a good chance to b...

Re: MORE THAN A RUMOUR - Stuart Taylor

Taylor didn't make the 28 man squad due to depart for Portugal later today. Academy 'keeper Jonathan Henly will support Feds, McCarthy and Andersen but will probably play a limited part. Perhaps Taylor will be given game time with the development squad, but it appears he will not be offered a contra...

Re: Non - League thread 2012/13

Reading Town's first six fixture have been released. As I'm now (un)fortunately within short walking distance of Scours Lane I shall perhaps attend the odd game or two. It should be an interesting season with a new management team in place and Colin Millard (perhaps the clubs most successful manager...

Re: Should we start our own Supporters Group to Replace STAR

We are in age where football fans are very much taken for granted and treated with contempt by the authorities and sometimes even our own football clubs (e.g. that lovely bunch from Cardiff). Therefore I feel it crucial that supporters have an independent voice to speak on their behalf and address t...
