Re: Y26

You wouldn't believe how many Barca, ManU, Arsenal, etc., jerseys you see here now. You have been in the US too long. Been abroad for over 14 years, myself, and coming back permanently in January. Going to be Y22 or Y23 for me. In any case, there's no place like home, is there? Lol! Very true on al...

Re: Y26

welcome to the board. enjoy your return to the terraces (seats). and don't be a stranger. this board is for life, not just 1 off questions I appreciate that. I've been on the board for years, but generally just read. We don't get to see many Championship matches on TV, here in the States, so it's t...

Re: Y26

Don't know it myself Graham but have heard there are a few Royals fans out that way (WV generally, not Morgantown specifically) There's one in Pittsburgh I know (the Pittsburgh Riverhounds are our local club), but that's about it. "Soccer" has become incredibly popular here, but the US fa...

Re: Y26

Not sure why no one answered but yes y26/y25 is generally the singing/standing area although both are a relative rarity. The further back the better though and the closer to the away fans the higher the propensity for v flicking teenagers. Thanks for the confirmation. I wasn't sure, as you used to ...

Re: Y26

I took the plunge and ordered tickets in Y26 for Brentford and Bristol City. Hopefully, there will be some atmosphere. I was surprised how few tickets were left stadium-wide, frankly (I looked around the seat map). Looks like attendance will be decent for both games. Now the wait for Wolves away tic...

Green Whereabouts in the St8s are you based, dragpeace?

Morgantown, West Virginia. Been here far too long. Spent many a day in Elm Park, though. :)

Y26

Being in the States, I haven't been to a match in a few years. I'll be coming over this Christmas and going on Boxing Day. I know nothing is like it used to be (or maybe ever was), but is Y26 still the section with the most standing and singing?

Thanks!

Re: Danny Williams

Quote from one of the Americans i work with: "Defensive mid - big, strong, quick and not afraid of going forward. Solid technical skills. If Bradley (AC Roma) didn't have a lock on the position, he'd see more US team time" Having been in the States for far too long, I've seen Williams pla...

Re: CONFIRMED - Danny Williams

Having been in the States for many years, I follow the US team. Williams is a solid player - nothing flashy, but he takes care of business on the defensive side of things, and he has good technical skills, from what I have seen. He can pass the ball well, but doesn't get into the offense much (he wo...

Re: Which division do you want us in next season?

For those living abroad (Scotland) watching games locally would mean League 1 (Carlisie). I think I prefer to watch games on the web and you only get a few in Championship. For those of us stranded in the USA, being in the Prem has meant that we've seen every game either live or on same-day delay. ...

QPR v Reading Observation

We're here from the States for the holidays and went to the last three matches (I'm a lifelong RFC supporter who grew up going to Elm Park every other week, but moved to the USA in the 80s - Steve Death is still my favorite Royal!). As we don't leave until tomorrow, we also went to today's QPR-Liver...

dragpeace We ended up in the cafe at the National Cycling Center (where we parked).

Interestingly enough, as John Motson would say, that car park is where Manchester United's ground used to be before they moved to Old Trafford.

I had no idea! Very interesting.

Re: Man City Away

We ended up in the cafe at the National Cycling Center (where we parked). Only 10 or so people were there, bitter was cheap, and there were comfortable seats. No atmosphere at all, but not a bad place to just sit and drink before the game. Also, a very easy exit out of the lot, after the game. I tho...

Re: Man City Away

Would someone mind posting when their tickets arrive, please, so I can call my hotel and tell them to watch for them? It would be much appreciated. :) Well, our tickets haven't made it to our hotel yet. RFC ticket office suggested waiting until Saturday morning and then giving them a call, if we st...
