Re: Bradford away- biggest game in years...

Bristol City in the playoff final year was >6000 Highbury in the 106 year was probably more than that. Wasn't at Wigan. Fulham first year in the Prem, we filled pretty much the whole Putney end when the Neutral zone was taken into account. IIRC at Wigan away we actually had more fans there than Wig...

Re: Bradford away- biggest game in years...

I reckon we'll take about 3,000. Its a 4 hour journey, live on TV. Plus the club had 1,000 derby tickets unsold so lost money, I doubt they will take the risk and request the full allocation of 4,000.

Re: Back from the stream (Derby)

Fantastic game and great atmosphere. I didnt think there was much between the teams, but i thought we had the better chances. Derby played very well with 10 men and I expect them to be promoted at the end of the season. Special mentions to Robson Kanu who I thought had his best game this season by a...

Re: DANNY GUTHRIE

On too much money. Not committed enough. Too injury prone. And just not very good anyway. Get rid. How can you possibly judge whether he is committed enough? I agree he is on too much money and is injury prone but he can boss the midfield on his day. I rate him but Norwood is cheaper, younger and o...

Re: BFTG-Fulham

genome It's not really that your view is at odds with his. It's more that your view is, well, factually incorrect.

Spot on. Norwood ran the game, he dictated the play and everything good that happened involved him. Anyone that couldnt see that needs their eyes tested.

Re: Back in the car, soaked (Nottm Forest A)

Whilst its important to recognise that we had so many young lads out there, it doesn't take away from the fact the defending today was absolutely atrocious. All of the goals today were awful to concede, gunter especially was at fault for getting beat at the far post for 2-0 and allowing a simple cro...

Good finisher, wanted it on a plate each time though. I'll remember him for that 2nd goal at Southampton away in our promotion campaign. All be best Alfie.

Re: Brian: The right decision?

TheBaldOne In fairness there would have been a camaraderie and a spirit to the team left over from winning the championship, meaning we probably would have got play-offs at least.

How on earth can you possibly say that?

Re: The Jobi McAnuff tribute thread

A player that will be sadly missed. Had a great attitude and was a good captain for us, gave 100% in absolutely everything and was an unsung hero in many ways. Amazed we havent considered another year on his contract, still has alot to offer I feel not to mention his experience.

Re: Team for Bournemouth (A)

To be completely honest this game plays right into our hands, Bournemouth have to beat us so i'm expecting us to catch them on the counter much the same way as we did against charlton and in fact most away games this season. Get Drenthe/Mcleary running at Harte and we should be fine.

Re: Brian or Nigel

All those who want Brian back or think he is a better manager are clueless about football. Both these managers have completely different philosophy's. One had an effective hoofball counter attacking game and the other a more possession based game. We sacked brian because of our inability to keep the...

Re: BFTG - Bolton (a)

The 60% possession was because of the second half, we absolutely dominated and could have won 2 matches with the chances we had in that second half. I still cant believe Le Fondre missed that chance. Gotta say I think Drenthe is the best player we have had since sigurdsson, such a talent. Bolton cou...

Re: One single decent chance at scoring

See the Loic Remy goal vs. Wigan for an example of why you need to spend fukking money to stay in this league. Would like to see one of our 'strikers' do that. Would like to see anybody in League Two do that. Massive LOL @ whoever it was at the club that thought buying L1/L2 players would keep us i...

Re: BFTG - The Goon Show

Loved how about 5 people behind me at the back of the stand started chanting 'nigel, give us a wave, nigel nigel...' and he actually heard it! The match itself was like an atack vs defence training exercise. Arsenal were unbelievably good. Though 2 of the goals were just dreadful to give away. Overa...

Re: POLL: Adkins or Poyet?

I wouldnt believe anything that paper (Mailonline) writes, some of the stuff they come out with is ludicrous. Poyet would be a good manager because of his experience in the premier league and experience in the championship should we go down, his name alone will enable us to attract better players an...

Re: Thank YOU - Dolan - Thank YOU - Anton

Dolan shouting "keep it" Thats what I have been shouting for a long time. People need to stop acting like Brian was unfairly treated, he had a shot at it, he made us bottom. He had money, he spent it on Gunter, mapps is good, Pog was a gift, & he messed up the personal handling of gut...
