Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

AVB allowed a couple of Christmas parties in the middle of December, so I very much doubt that our lads were out on the piss last night.

Regardless of today's result, I wish Reading's supporters all the best for 2013 and really hope you can maintain your Premier League status for 2013-14.

Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

DEMBELE ON READING Mousa Dembele knows better than to take anything for granted against Reading at the Lane on New Year’s Day. The Royals are fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the Premier League and responded to that situation with a 1-0 win against West Ham on Saturday. We secured a six...

Re: Lawro's Predictions

Predicted a 2-0 loss, which is probably about right... Although he seems to have forgotten that Bale is suspended. If you're interested in seeing how Lawro's predictions have panned-out for the season, I've been keeping track for several years now... http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Mark_Lawrensons_P...

Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

Mark Lawrenson's Prediction for Tottenham Hotspur v Reading Tottenham are going well. An early burst in the second half against Sunderland won them the game and they cruised to a win over Aston Villa in the game prior. Unfortunately for Reading they are going to White Hart Lane with Tottenham firin...

Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

Johnny Brooks also played for both clubs, in the fifties. He was the first Reading born player ever to represent the full England team. Also, you mention the first cup meeting in 1901 which ended 1-1. Near the end of the match a Reading shot was punched out from underneath the crossbar by a Spurs d...

Hoop Blah That's the wrong Stuart Beavon you've put in the picture section.

You're right - that's his son, who rather confusingly is also called Stuart Beavon.

Royal Tezza Do you still post on F365 THFC? I haven't seen one of these threads in a long, long time

No, I haven't been on F365 since last August.

Nice to be remembered though!

Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

Thats because you dont treat him right, he wanted to come back to us in the summer, but money bags thought they could fit him in to your style. Well he's appeared in 25 of our 28 matches this season, although he's only started 9 times. But he's certainly been effective during the time spent on the ...

Re: Spurs (A) predictions.

There's plenty of confidence coming from Spurs supporters for tomorrow's game with many predicting an easy win.

I think it will be a much tighter game with Spurs winning by the odd goal in three.

mathematically_safe statto! statto!

an excellent read - thanks.

ps - can we have gylfi back please?

I really don't think Spurs have seen anything like the best from Siggy this season.

With Bale suspended for tomorrow's game, I'm hoping he'll be given a start on the left.

Re: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur Match History 1896-2012

If there was a game in April 1896 it certainly wasn't played at Elm Park. and there was no official connection between H&P and RFC. and 'the first non Football league club to win the FA Cup' needs re-phrasing or he'll get Oxford University among others on his back. and he misses out the funny b...
