Re: Best player you've ever seen play against us

I felt James Milner vs Newcastle Utd in October 2007 showed he was much better than all the other players on the pitch when he came on as sub that day and turned a comfortable 2-0 scoreline into a scary 2-1 victory for us. Kitson did score a wonderful goal tbh. Michael Owen was awol on the pitch .

Re: Worst Reading Player

Has Robert Fleck been mentioned yet? . Words cannot describe his time at Reading. I known TB's seven have been collectively mentioned and some individually but cannot see his name yet?

Re: Low away attendances

I've always wondered about how many we took to Oxford in 1976 (?) It was an evening game between Xmas and New Year, lost 0-1 to a late goal, snow. I was on a supporters coach, but I counted very, very few Biscuitmen on the terraces. So it was left to me to chin the Oxford scum. Was there too and co...

Starfish Someday, you people will just have to get over the fact that Kevin Doyle is twice the player Robin Friday ever was.

Did you ever see Friday play... I did and there is no comparison to be drawn - like comparing shunt with convey

Re: Favourite RFC sending off

Anybody else remember the `great` Bob Hazell against Barnsley, 1986 I think ? Got a feeling it was a against Rotherham (could be wrong). Seem to recall that Terry Hurlock should have gone a few minutes later. We ended up winning 2-1 :D Hurlock is this game was quiet comical esp after hicks' injury ...

Re: Penalties

Steve Hetzke took a mean penalty as did John 'Minty' Murray. Remember Murray's two at the Town end in that game against Tranmere and Hetzke's almost taking the Gillingham keeper into the net with the ball. Bumped into Hetzke day after Neil Webb scored penalty against Wimbledon when he superbly sent ...

Re: Best RFC 'keeper of all time

Seen the greats, ie Deathie, Shaka, Stevie Francis, USA and the not so greats Ronnie Fearon (omg), Tin Tin Hammond (nearly as small as Deathie) and think Shaka is No1 - whoever was at The Valley when Osborn scored that wonderful volley will not forget Shaka's one on one save when score was one all -...
