Re: Next Reading Manager

Adkins didn't fail in the prem- Saints were actually further up the table than they are currently when he was sacked.

0-0 we'll park the bus and without Walcott our defence won't have to worry about being as slow as a turning cruise ship.

Re: Next Reading Manager

I think we will be pleasantly surprised by what Adkins does for Reading FC. he is really into sport science and meticulous in his preparation. He's got a massive point to prove to his former employers and will certainly get the squad motivated with fresh ideas and new training etc. he deserves 100% ...

Re: I now actually hope.....

im sorry. some bloke saying it in the chronicle or EP isnt a FACT my point is that he never felt it was strong enough, he said he was happy with what he had. for the reasons already stated it was a bad idea to say anything different. there was ten+ million available late on in jan, possibly as a pan...

Re: I now actually hope.....

Read the article- says Zinga agreed to a six figure settlement with McD this week... My point is McD was clearly wrong when he thought the squad in the summer was strong enough- it clearly wasnt. it's a lot easier to get players during pre season, than in January when you're fighting relegation. If ...

Re: I now actually hope.....

swansea and norwich attract better players as theyve been in the prem for more than a few weeks when they cane up they bought decent promising and hungry championship players. why are you privvy to private financial matters of our club? and your opinion is wrong- he mentioned it in two interviews-wh...

Re: I now actually hope.....

Yep 6 figure settlement was agreed. And in my opinion he did bang on about it, mentioning it on more than 2 occasions. McD & Hammond didn't bring in good enough players- which ultimately put us in the position we are currently in. Having a good stadium, good wage structure and desire to stay in ...

Re: I now actually hope.....

Was he underperforming or should Reading expect to be in the bottom three? With the squad we had yes- but McD said the team that got him up were good enough for the Premiership. He banged on about buying proven premiership talent, but only signed Stephen Kelly and the Pog which had experience (not ...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Dylan Kerr, what a player he was, remember he tore his knee ligaments one game and still tried to carry on playing. I thought it was his groin? (after pretty much doing the splits in front of the South Bank) Yeah may well have been his groin mate. It was about 5 foot from where I was standing. I lo...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Surely Glenn Hoddle is the only answer left now. No self respecting manager will take the job now that our main targets have made the club look silly - just like with Wolves last season - so we need to turn to the Hoddle and he comes with divine guidance as well - which cannot be a bad thing. He ev...
