Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

The club and players don't want extra away fans . Do you have a source for this claim? I can see logic in either decision, I guess it would be more clear cut if the ground was a sellout week in week out - home fans are more profitable than away fans (no away fan is going to spend big in the megatst...

Re: Brentford A Saturday November 23rd

Also, how do these people think we got the loyalty points we have? Just because we didnt go Hull, Boro etc this season*, doesnt mean we havent in the past and hence got the points..

*FYI, I did Hull this season but not Boro

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by a Simon Cox chip

Could really do with a minimum of four points from Boro and Blackburn considering we have a tough week of fixtures after those two games. No need for knee jerk reactions after Charlton but I’d make a couple of changes Rafael Yiadom Miazga Morrison Moore Richards Pele Swift Ejaria Barrett Puscas Wal...

Regardless of whether we'd have to keep paying for him or not, we could easily have sent him back because of the injury and a lack of interest in him. No point in having him in our treatment room and around our players if he's definitely got no future. Well no, if an international loan is essential...

Back on topic then. I guess we are gonna struggle for a few beers pre-match being a 12pm k.o. ?!!! 8:43 train from Didcot into Bristol at 9:43. Beers on train and then in the weatherpersons right by the station, then taxi up to the ground and drinking after. Full schedule of live football if you in...

Would be interesting to see a list of how many people who hate Gunter were also on the club 1871 thread moaning about that?*

* If you're on both lists, you're probably just a moany old man with nothing better to do

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by Terry Hurlock

For Saturday though, I'd keep the same team and match Brentford's formation. Oli on the bench instead of Loader I'm all for rewarding players who have good games, and dropping players who were poor. Fit or not, Oliveira was poor against Hull, and Gunter was solid last night. Therefore Gunter should...

Another huge game, as they all are from now on, but even more so with who everyone else is playing. A win would be HUGE, as you'd like to think Millwall would struggle v sheff united as would Rotherham away at Stoke and then Wigan on sunday at Norwich. I'd hope we go back to normal and bring Nelson ...

Martinez for me - yep I know he's only been here for half a season, but genuinely believe without him we would be down. Second choice Yiadom

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Wow - is this debate still going on? My point of view (for the little that it is worth) having sat in Club1871 for the last 3 games last year, as well as having my season ticket there this season. I don't think anybody can deny that the atmosphere at the mad stad in previous years was dull. Singing...

Stoke - D
Preston W
Hull - L
Norwich - L
