Re: England - the future....

There's no point of just pressing if there's no structure to it. Otherwise its just chasing after the ball and dogs can do that.

Tactically =/= Technically

we're also not very good at tactics either, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Re: England - the future....

Ugh, I think it was a 0-0 draw with Macedonia or Montenegro and England got out passed for a 10 minute spell. Commentator said something along the lines of "You know what, these guys can play a bit". They were all professional footballers. A good half were in decent if not the very top lea...

Re: FIFA Confederations Cup 2013

I do find it funny when people say anything about racism in the UK. Seriously, live in France or Italy, they're practically one step away from pillow sheets on head full-on stab-them-in-the-street nastiness. Mental. I only assume its because ironically most Brits actually haven't really gone abroad....

Re: CONFIRMED - Royston Drenthe

Well firstly how many players at the age of 21 get bought for 12m and secondly join Real Madrid. To fail at Madrid is like getting into Oxford uni and walking away with a 2:2.

Not really failing is it.

I certainly wouldn't tolerate it.

soggy biscuit Probably some of the best business Utd ever did getting £12M for him while paying out no wages, no signing on fee and then seeing that he wouldn't have been good enough for them anyway.

Re: rumour Brett Pitman

He's had some absolutely superb seasons, iirc. Nearly 30 not too long ago.

No idea about the style of play.

Honestly? Can't see him not improving on Roberts and Hunt tbh. Maybe not the best we could go for but an improvement.

Barnsley sign Bayern Munich star :shock: Tranmere received a couple of PL offers for Dale Jennings before he joined Bayern's a couple of years ago, could be one to watch... He's been playing in Bayerns reserve side, who are in their 4th division I reckon he could be another Freddy Adu Actually 32?

Re: World Cup Qualification - Brazil 2014

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2013/jun/06/australia-friendship-tournament-vietnam-1967 is also a good read. I read another article, from a few years ago, where two of the players had a mate serving in the SASR in Vietnam and they went on the sort of bender you'd see in films starring Christop...
