Re: Injury table and expected return....

He's confirmed he's fit for Saturday now. No word from the club though, only Williams being fit again.

Re: Buyout

SJM needed to sell a stake to fund some of his other business operations. He is now relaxed about what is happening as his immediate cash flow problems were resolved by AZ's cash. AZ is complete history and won't be seen at RFC again - apparently his dad gave him the money for the first tranche and...

Re: Team for QPR (H)

I don't know who played particulary poorly, or worst still looked half arsed, but Adkins commented that he learnt a lot about a few players, so I'm expecting a couple of changes come QPR. I'm hoping to God one of those isn't Gorkss coming in. He's no better than what we have. -----------------------...

Re: QPR Prediction Thread

Should be a relatively easy three points for the fakes. I can see some idiotic fans taking their frustrations out on Adkins and the team; that will only make things worse, but they're that pathetic they wont consider that.

Re: Do you like Nigel Adkins

I like him, I like his philosophy for how the game should be played, I like his encouragement for the youngsters. I don't think we can do any better, that's for sure! Get behind him and back the team, you only become part of the problem by booing and hissing!

Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

The lack of a meaningful connection between NA and the fans will prove to be his undoing if performances start to consistently deteriate. It's not necessarily his fault, it was always going to be difficult coming into a club with which you'd been rivals with 12 months earlier. Even I, someone most ...

Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

I'd take 6th and be very grateful. This is a very inconsistent league. Quite often a side can lose 10 games and will promotion, more even, so the play-offs are very much a possibility, BUT you can forget top two. No chance in hell this season. Why would you take 6th and be grateful? This league is ...

Re: Tactics: the art of defending

And Kelly should never never never play left-back again. He's always looked poor there, but yesterday was by far his worth performance there. I'm not convinced he's a decent right-back either. Another of McDermott's disaster January signings last season.

Re: Tactics: the art of defending

Pearce has the speed and turning circle of a tank. Was he worth a bumper new deal to stay? No, I don't think so. Morrison is better but too often goes walkies. We really need a centre-back on loan. QPR did a great job in getting Dunne in! We're missing that calming experienced influence at the back.

Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

Nigel's been pretty unlucky in the injury department. He's doing fine, we're 5th which I'd take at the end of the season. I'd take 6th and be very grateful. This is a very inconsistent league. Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

We're 5th in the league, have one of the strongest squads in the division, and have a new multi-million pound training facility on the way..the planning of which Adkins was involved in. Yet some of you seriously expect him to be sacked or to walk away? Whilst I agree with most of that, that new tra...

Re: Team for QPR (H)

Things are that bad people are selecting McAnuff to start a game. He's great as an impact sub, but not a starter any more. Morrison took a knock. There's more chance he will miss out and Gorkss come in that Pearce be dropped. Get back to 4-4-2 and stop dicking around! It works for us, we're a more b...

Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

Why would Adkins walk, we're 5th in the table for Christ's sake! If the ownership situation proves to be a problem, as many are concerned it is or it is becoming, and next summer see's us starting to sell our top players to balance the books, then and only then can I possibly see Adkins feeling it m...

Re: Sheff Wed (A) Thread sponsored by Antonio's miss-control

Well that formation wasn't the most convincing at the start of the season. I assume the change is to add some height to our side. 6 of Wednesday's starting eleven are over 6ft!

Re: Battle of the centre backs.

NewCorkSeth It seems like Pearce and Morro are having a goal scoring competition for the season. Who do you think will score more goals?

My bets on Pearcey

Couldn't care less either way. I'd rather they worked on their defending to be honest; neither fill me with a great deal of confidence.
