Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Will UEFA allow Man U and OGC Nice to compete in the Europa League given they're both part owned by Jim Ratcliffe (INEOS) and UEFA have a rule banning clubs playing each other when they're owned by the same entities?

Re: Weekend Football

If you add in semi-final defeats, us and Leeds are even worse :o . I make it that there are a total 104 clubs that have played in the football league play offs of which 20 clubs are no longer in the football league. Believe that this means there are only 8 clubs that have never competed in the play...

Discretion is essential at this stage of negotiations, but we also know Reading fans are anxious for updates. This is be...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Yeah, they ran on a shoestring with the second most expensive goalkeeper ever, one of the most expensive CB's ever. They also got gazumped on Caicedo (117M Euros). They've bought some excellent value players, no doubt, but let's have it right! Nunez: 85 VVD: 84 Szobozlai: 70 Alison: 62 Keita: 60 et...

I'll go one better on the stink test stranded. Just days after exclusivity is extended, some rando twatter nomark says its all off. Why was exclusivity extended then? Was exclusivity officially extended? Before I left for my holiday there were two contrasting stories floating around. One was that D...

Re: Ex Players

Many congratulations to our ex goalkeeper, Alex McCarthy, for getting promotion to the Premier League with Southampton yesterday; I hope he gets his chance as their first choice keeper next season. Looks like he's out of contract, with Celtic and Liverpool interested: https://www.fourfourtwo.com/li...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

It's not a surprise to read this from Klopp, but remains refreshing to hear. From a Q&A hosted in Liverpool for fans last night, asked whether FSG held the purse-strings too tightly. Especially the final paragraph, which is a reference to Chelsea. “Can you imagine LFC as the club with unlimited...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Chelsea granted permission by Leicester to speak to Maresca, whom they will apparently offer a 5 year deal - which they will pay up in full when they fire him next year. Leicester will apparently get 10m in compensation. Chelsea clearly very impressed by his side nearly choking the most nailed on p...

Had enough of UEFA repeatedly turning down their application to become members, so today they have applied to become members of CONCACAF instead. UEFA qualifying criteria is that the UN need to recognise you as fully independent nation, so greenland fails there. Good luck to 'em I say! How are Wale...

Are Huddersfield the only team to be promoted twice without scoring in the final? Huddersfield Town is the only club to have been promoted 3 times, via play off finals, without scoring or conceding a goal in the final. 2012, 2017 (as per above) and also v Mansfield in 2004 (4-1). They have won prom...

It's all so frustrating. It feels like it took a monumental effort to get to the stage where we're a L1 club in exclusive negotiations, and it could all still go to shit anyway. Nothing to suggest this tweet is accurate, but it should be done and dusted already. Should be easy enough to check if th...

They've got to 3 finals and haven't scored a goal in any of them. Thought yesterday was their 4th? Though one final was in 1987 when it was still over 2 legs. They lost a one-off replay though. Interesting* to note that Leeds seem to have it in their heads that they are the first team in history to...
