Re: Chants about the fire?

Nobby While everyone gets indignant about whose yobs were the worst, I remember that during the Bradford fire their fans were singing and jumping about on the pitch while other people were dying.

To be fair Nobby, at the time the people on the pitch believed that everybody had got out.

Re: Chants about the fire?

Have you reconsidered your thoughts about the coin and bottling throwing at players, stewards and the ref ? It was happening way before the police put in an appearance and seems to have got lost amongst the uncertainty over the precise nature of words and gestures. I do 100% condemn any deliberate ...

Re: Chants about the fire?

Wtf has head patting got to do with the fire? Why don't you explain as nobody here seems to have a clue... Lots of people who were on fire ran onto the pitch and were trying to smother the flames by patting themselves on the head or other parts of the body, helped by other people. :| I'm not...

Re: Garath McCleary Racist Abuse? Evidence? With Poll

There a deaf lass on the Bradford Forum who lipreads that the lad starts to say w@nker but then ridiculously says ni**er instead. She's also sure that the old fella infront is merely calling your lad a c*n*, which I guess is fair game :D If the stewards evidence backs up what the video appears to sh...

Re: Chants about the fire?

unwittingly hit nail on head (if indeed someone was really tapping their head in the direction of Bradford fans). Only someone who wasn't around at the time of tragedies such as Valley Parade and Hillsborough would be so effing stupid and insensitive to take the p*ss about them. No one who saw thos...

Re: Chants about the fire?

Okay guys. I'll leave it at that then, if you want to say he's taunting a baldy then that's fine. He's probably just unlucky that he's used the exact same action that other fans have used previously with reference to the fire. By the same token I hope you'll forgive our fans who chucked the bottles ...

Re: Chants about the fire?

This patting of the head incident reminds me of the flare incident away at Bradford - would be very surprised if the lad had any idea of the connotations, I certainly didn't, and just seems like Bradford fans are able to interrupt every act as some sort of dig at the fire. The incident of the flare...

Re: Chants about the fire?

Pepe the Horseman As mentioned in the post above yours, he was probs taking the piss out of a baldy. Literally never seen or heard anything about that gesture. If he is having a dig at the fire, then whatacunt. But seems unlikely.

I have seen that gesture before sadly and wasn't being used to indicate baldness.

Re: Chants about the fire?

Severely hope Bradford fans aren't using the dreadful events that happened to their club as a way to exaggerate a bit of over exuberance from teenage kids as it would appear they are currently attempting to do. Who knows their motives, perhaps they are using it as a way to distract from the missile...

Re: Chants about the fire?

If we're not old enough to know what it means, how does that young fan know? By speaking to other people or using the internet? I'm not old enough to remember Munich but if I held my arms out wide and made airplane noises around Old Trafford it would be pretty clear what I was doing. I've backed yo...

Re: Chants about the fire?

There's now a video doing the round on Facebook of one of your lads patting his head with both hands while goading our fans - if you don't know the significance of that action ask somebody old enough to remember the images of the fire as i'm not overly keen on describing it. I'm reasonable enough to...

Re: Chants about the fire?

Firstly, I just wanted to say well done to you and your team for getting through last night. Our team didn't turn up and your lads did a thoroughly professional job on us and fully deserved to go through. We never looked in any danger of causing you any problems whatsoever and in a lot of ways it re...

Snowball

Not the point, mate. It's not my fault that the ref missed the handball

The fact is that "officially" there wasn't a handball
and subsequently Pearce was hauled down.

I suppose the fact is also that the ref missed your lad being 'hauled down'

Re: BFTG - Bradford

Snowball Watching the late Pog/HB/Post/Scramble, anyone think Pearce was fouled?

Looked like a clear pen to me.

Yep. That's certainly the most obvious infringement in that passage of play.

Re: Unbelievable

The sight of smoke billowing across Valley Parade is not one I personally enjoy for very obvious reasons. A bloody ridiculous act from somebody who I can only presume is a complete moron. Other than that I thought yours fans were great both inside and outside the stadium but badly let down by a clas...

If you're planning on parking in the local streets try to get there early, the roads were rammed prior to the Sunderland game.

Safe journey to all the fans making the trip this weekend,

Re: Bradford away- biggest game in years...

FAO any Bantams fans - what pubs can away fans drink in? I doubt there will be any restrictions on the pubs you can drink in. It's a friendly affair around here on a match day. Plenty of choices of boozers during the day. The usual cheap and simple Wetherspoon types around Centenary Square and behi...

Re: Who do you want in the Semi final (FA Cup)

It started when i was talking to a Rochdale supporting friend of mine, who said that Bradford were the dirtiest team in League One but if you "hit them hard" they don't know how to react. Good info from the Dale fan. Any more contacts who can provide valuable insight into our extremely li...

Re: Who do you want in the Semi final (FA Cup)

My Orient supporting mate tells me they are just a long ball team, we do well against those tactics - it's when team pass it around we struggle. Reckon it could be 4 or 5-0 [to us] Also my Port Vale supporting mate says their midfield isn't very good on the ball, so if Chombalomba & Williams ca...
