Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

My shout would be the 1999 team. August and Sept, April - May were horrifying. Do you mean the Bullivant relegation season of 97/98? Oxford away on 17 March 1998 remains my benchmark for apocalyptically bad Reading moments when you truly believe the club might totally implode. How does the current ...

Re: Clement

Pre-season I was very up for giving him a fair run and seeing how things go. He was bought in the back end of last season to keep us up and that's what he did. If we didn't sack Stam, we wouldn't have beaten QPR or Preston at home, and would be in League 1. Clement managed to get the players up for ...

Re: Back from booing at my tv screen

Didn’t make Saturday so watched on the tele. As much as I hate Don Goodman and he anti-Reading commentary, he echoed some points already made, adding to my frustration. He pointed out that Aluko was one of our best crossers of the ball on the pitch (see Moore’s goal) and he was replaced by JDB, and ...

Norwich 1-0 win, Oliveira bagging the winner.

Less than 14,000 in but 'Official Figures' will state otherwise

Re: BFTG Millwall

Unbelievably predictable result, even when we we 1-0. I go into every midweek game (especially away) expecting us to loose. Stam needs to change things and quick, he simply can't keep ploughing away with this style now. We need to win games, which involves scoring goals, which involves attacking the...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

I didn't boo, i cringed when i heard them, but i can understand them at the same time. I am struggling to understand what's going on, but at the same time i see this was very predictable. We excelled last season when expectations were low, and now that we've gone and signed Aluko + others, as well a...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

The Richmond tenancy (we've never had a ground share with anyone !) was very short lived and I can't believe any one cared too much about hurting their feelings ! It's quite odd to see people arguing in favour of flogging off the name of the ground. I've never thought there was much dignity in maki...

Re: BFTG Wolves

Norwood was woeful. He has quality but is completely out of form, and even when he's in form, he can't beat a player or stay composed under pressure. Williams just runs with the ball without any sense of what he's doing and occasionally gets lucky. I rate McCleary but he looked off yesterday, probab...

Re: Sweet Caroline

It has to stick really. It's too late to change it. I liked it when the team walked out to Faithless - Insomnia in 05/06, felt it got the blood pumping more. I'd take that back pre-match but you can't really call it an anthem.

Re: Reading v Rotherham - 23rd February - The Fans Initiativ

In. Well done the club. Good initiative as they'll probably make more money this way than selling full price tickets. Not a cracking fixture but I'll be there with +2. Looking forward to a Matt Derbyshire 90+1 minute winner as I knock my pint over storming out.

Re: CONFIMRED - Jake Taylor to Exeter

He's 24, didn't cut it in any of his loans spells bar Exeter, so not surprised to see him go back there. Can't see him playing in the Championship again, League 1 max. Good luck to him however

Re: Contracts

Kuhl's not 20 yet, and I agree we tend to give players time to show they're worth keeping. Taylor is 24 and somehow still on the books at the club. Judging this we should keep the likes of Kuhl and Kelly for at least one more year. Just as i finish writing this I'm realising, Jake Taylor is 24, not ...

Would you offer him a new contract? And for how long? He doesn't Turn 31 until February which for his position, isn't a bad age. Very impressed with him every time he's played

Re: Would you cash in on Blackman?

Completely honest opinion on this: Selling our top scorer doesn't look great, and I can see where the lack of ambition claims are coming from, but I was sick and tired of his arrogant celebrations, moody persona, and general unwillingness to acknowledge the supporters. He had a massive ego. I won't ...

Re: Strongest XI

Good problem to have with us having a struggle to pick our strongest 11? Fans have moaned so many times before about our squad, you can't moan now. Only thing I hope is that Clarke becomes a fan of sensible squad rotation? Can't drop Blackman after his form but Vydra's record is lethal. We've barely...

Re: HRK / Gunter / Wales

I also agree HRK looks more improved since this season started. I also think he's going to look good in a fairly average Wales team in a fairly average group, in which Belgium is there only test, and they didn't lose/beat them by, lets be honest, parking the bus. Simon Church is truly awful and stil...

Re: Post Summer Transfer Window Predictions/Expectations

Got to be 6th or above. Not going to be to gutted if not, but we've just matched our record transfer fee on a season long loan?! Not complaining but surely that means promotion this or next season at the latest. If you look at our squad that finished 7th in 2014, missing out play offs on the last da...
