Re: Summer Rebuild

linkenholtroyal I have heard from a club source we have 2.5 million and 30 k in wages for the summer, sounds about right to me, but there could be up to 40 k in wages more if the 3 amigos leave and don't accept contracts

Re: Summer Rebuild

Andersen has looked very unconvincing. I would be a very concerned if we went into next season with him as number one.

Re: Summer Rebuild

No offence to Jem, and I know he's popular amongst the supporters, but he's a very average midfielder who's had two career threatening injuries. If he doesn't feel valued after the club and fans sticking by him, then he never will. It's most likely more to do with not wanting to take as much of a pa...

Re: Ground share

Can't see us letting a relatively local club play Premier League football here, whilst they pinch the fair-weathers at the same time. There are far better and IMO more likely options available to them a lot closer to home.

Re: Summer Rebuild

Dominic Samuel is to be given a chance this summer following impressive spell at Coventry. He's out of contract... No word of a new one, and it doesn't mean he'd sign even if we offered him one. Samuel was in the same situation as Gunter, we had an option to extend the deal without renegotiating te...

Re: 3 players IN, 3 players OUT

Ian Royal IN
Striker
Left Back
Left Winger

OUT
Pogrebnyak
Robson-Kanu
Ferdinand

That's what we need prior to (hopefully) a clear-out of some existing first-teamers. Think we'll see several ins and outs this summer.

Re: Football Stadia - Past, Present & Future

What West Ham's new ground will look like when finished next year. I wouldn't fancy sitting in the bottom tier centre, behind the goal. Terrible views. If they come in on budget (£195m), West Ham cough up only 10% (£19.5m). Daylight robbery! Not keen on the ground at all. 54,000 capacity. Bottom tie...

Re: Jamie Cureton in praise of

He's as natural a finisher you'll find anywhere. Even at 40 I'd throw a one year deal at him to play a bit part next season. The chances we've fluffed in the box this season, he'd have lapped them up. Le Fondre wasn't too disimilar. Such a shame he was sold in place of the unshiftable Pogrebnyak.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I've heard the new sponsor will be Thai Airways with Carabao as another shirt sponsor which is a Thai energy drink similar to RedBull. I believe that one or more of the owners are board members of these companies so they may use the sponsorship deal to give Steve Clark much needed funds to totally ...

Re: Did anyone stay for the lap of appreciation?

How a team that can finish 7th last season, can finish 20th is beyond me having only lost Le Fondre and Morrison from their first team regulars. Last season's first team: McCarthy; Gunter, Pearce, Morrison, Obita; McCleary, Guthrie, Williams, McAnuff; Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak. Could make a case for Dr...

Re: Rotherham Match Thread - Sponsored By Clolarkelol

Obviously don't know the team yet, but my guess is that he'll play the youth to avoid any blame when the inevitable defeat comes. This will lead to the league fining us. He's already said it would be unfair to play too many youngsters when the result affects sides competing for promotion and safety...

Heard a rumour at the U21s last night that Clarke will walk away from Reading after Saturdays game. Could possibly explain the slow decisions on contracts for Jem and Fedders..... Can't see that happening. He knew what he was getting into when he joined. If anything, he'll be looking forward to mak...
