Re: CONFIRMED - Michael Hector to Chelsea

Anyone see Pat Nevin's analysis of John Stones on BBC website recently.

His views are that young centre backs are worth keeping so that they can learn from mistakes.

I agree - not so much Hector as he will be off but get Cooper alongside McShane regularly for a season.

Re: Y26

I used to sit up there years ago.

Was there for the Wigan Play Off game and haven't been in an atmosphere like it since.

Wouldn't catch me up there now though.

Re: BFTG Bolton(H)

Enjoy this weather, a chance to wrap up and enjoy some proper football weather.

The queue for Bovril was longer than usual.

There was a guy in Lower West in a t-shirt.

Re: BFTG Charlton (H)

I was at the game and enjoyed it rather a lot. Agree with some things said about Piazon, he did lose the ball a few times and fell over a couple but I like this sort of player as he does have something and will produce. What was Oscar like when he first signed for Chelsea? John was disappointing. Ob...

BBC review of last night's match. "Hal Robson-Kanu had the best pass accuracy of any Welsh player (90%) Worked tirelessly with very limited service but could have done better with his passing on the rare occasions he found himself in space in Cyprus's half. " "Robson-Kanu was replace...

Re: CONFIMRED - Matej Vydra

The average Brighton fan will cry that the Goldstone was sold from under their noses. I believe it is now a Burger King. I was at the Withdean once in almost biblical conditions, I was offered one paper towel to wipe my seat. Most of the Goldstone site is Toys r Us and Currys Yes remember that game...

Re: CONFIMRED - Matej Vydra

I did say in another thread that Brighton might just appear on my list of "rivals" - purely down to a personal distaste. This is why. One chap said that we were upstarts and to "go back to Elm Park". Are we upstarts? "a person who has risen suddenly in rank or importance, es...

Re: Stadium name to be change to highest bidder

I like the idea.

Mike Ashley bought naming rights of Ibrox Stadium for £1

I am sure we could get more than that.

Re: BRENTFORD (A) match thread sponsored by Bring your own P

I quite like the look of Sa. A big striker who can hold it, turn and run at defenders.

Was in the air for an age to score his goal today - terrific leap.

He needs a quick strike partner, an Adam Le Fondre type to nip around and collect his lay offs.

Re: Brentford away - 29/8/15

Was there drink available in the ground?

At least there's a bar at Loftus Road - I couldn't see anything here unless they sold it at that food hatch.

Reminds me a little of Elm Park this place, all concrete and metal railings and outside toilets.

Re: Who do we consider our rivals?

I am under 40.

I couldn't give two hoots about Aldershot,Oxford or Swindon.

For me, it's West Ham, Wolves & Leeds - just a personal distaste for these three. Maybe include Brighton to this.

Re: BFTG Brentford

Back from the game. First time at Brentford since the draw that took us up. I accept that I am a lucky omen when at Griffin Park. First half was the best I've seen Reading play for years, better than the performance against Arsenal for me as we looked threatening throughout. Second half was always g...

Re: BFTG - Leeds

ST didn't work, not a great fan of my seat as I might get caught if it rains, hot flame throwers and a terrible match.

Still, enjoyed my first home game of the season.

Cannot make MK Dons.

Re: Portsmouth Away Tuesday 25th August

£36.10 from London and a 2hr journey home on train.

Negates any saving on the ticket price.
