Re: Thoughts on the Birmingham game

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Reckon you'll go up this year? Autos is a big ask but think you could pose a threat in the play-offs.

Thoughts on the Birmingham game

Reading fans, Congrats on the win tonight. Written up some thoughts on the game - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/birmingham-0-1-reading-six-things-we-learnt/ Well-deserved I thought. Much more precision to your attacks than Birmingham's, Swift deserved his goal. Good luck for the rest of the se...

Re: Thoughts from a neutral

Jagermesiter1871 Pretty generous calling Joey Van Den Berg a centre back.

In fact it's boarding on factually inaccurate.

I did say in my Player Ratings that he wasn't suited to playing there - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/rea ... ld-excels/

Re: Thoughts from a neutral

Cheers guys. Think McCleary's the type of player you need when breaking a team down. On 2 or 3 occasions last night he accelerated out of a tight space and created an opening out of nothing. Midfield 3 more to blame than the front 3 for the team not scoring in my view.

Thoughts from a neutral

Royals, Commiserations on tonight, written up some thoughts on the game - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/reading-0-1-qpr-five-things-we-learnt/ Wanted to ask how often that kind of poor performance happens - have you played this badly when you've lost/drawn other games, or was it a complete one...

Re: Where will you finish?

Thanks, Sandman will be happy that I can disagree with you now. Only joking - thoughts on the summer signings so far? Be interested to see how Swift gets on. Entirely based on web chat/youtube highlights etc? Swift - bags of potential Beerens - tentatively promising Annis Jaaskola - good Van der Be...

Re: Where will you finish?

Agreed. No wait. Disagreed. Arghhhhh Paradox! You got me coming and going there. Actually, mid-table would be a bad season for Reading. Hope that helps. Re: Where will you finish?

I don't think that would be a bad season for you myself - gives Jaap Stam and some of the new foreign players a year to settle in without too much pressure. Agreed. Although expect Ian Royal to disagree just for the sake of it. Agreed. No wait. Disagreed. Arghhhhh Paradox! You got me coming and goi...

Re: Where will you finish?

Positions mean nothing if you are not relegated or promoted. Until we've seen a number of competitive games judging Stam isn't fair. Seems to be giving every player in the club an opportunity to stake a claim. With the changes to the loan transfer system. Decisions need to be made quickly. Hopefull...

Underwhelming seasons

Reading fans,

Written up some thoughts ahead of your game against QPR - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/qpr ... g-seasons/

Fair to say you've been really poor since McDermott took over - he to blame or are there bigger problems?

Cheers and good luck for the rest of the season.
