Re: Woops

I knew a Donny fan living down south who went to the Maidstone v Donny match. Only problem was that she went to Maidstone for the game after they had moved their home matches to Dartford. D'oh!

I heard that they disbanded after their star player fcuked the chairman's wife.

Literary joke. Far too cultured for most of HNA.

Re: Thierry Henry. Why are FIFA so feeble?

I can't believe people saying it wasn't deliberate. How many times in a match do you see the ball going out of play and a player trying his utmost to stop it to save a corner or a forward trying to keep it in to keep the attack going? Loads. How many times do you see the said player handling it to s...

Re: If you could change 1 rule in football

Apart from the financial ones already discussed, I'd like to bring back the "10 yards forward for dissent" that they experimented with a few years ago. Despite the press getting hold of it being abandoned because "it wasn't understood in countries where they don't play rugby", t...

I'm live in the London region, but I've got Sky and they do the BBC regions up in the high 900 channels. BBC South is 984 for us. Didn't watch it last night, but have it on Sky+. Was it worth watching overall? I saw Forest v Reading's goals, but then I went to bed.

I don't care if SDR is right or wrong. It's just that he is on here like a rash when we do badly, even back to Div 1 (as it is now) days, when we were told week after week that Bristol City were Flyyyying. Then went worringly quiet when it was all going well. Now he's back. What a tool.

So, Spacey when exactly was the last time that Man Utd and Liverpool both went out of the FA Cup at the 3rd round stage?

If you had said not very funny I would have agreed.

The commentator said 50 years ago.

Liverpool out of the Premier League title race, out of the FA Cup, out of the League Cup, out of the CL. If they fail to make fourth place this year - and this is quite possible the way things are going - they will be out of the CL next year. Will they be able to cover the huge losses? Especially wi...

Re: Back from the game (LIVERPOOL)

Big kudos to those of you who battled for hours through the terrible weather and the threat of it being off anyway (not to mention the cost). The ITV comentator, when Reading were 2-1 up and the camera showed the Reading section, said "This will be one of those 'I was there' nights". And y...

Leeds dropped two points at home to Wycombe FFS. Should help the 106-watch to some extent. Max now 123 I think. At half way they were on course for 112, so a few defeats or draws would be handy.

Sun Tzu End of half time is really your last chance. Everything is closed up then. You may get let in the East Stand, you may not !

I bet the Bradford fans who escaped the stand and came up against the locked gates appreciated this polcy.

Re: Saturdays Game off?

Arsenal's game against Bolton was not called off until 4pm for a 7.45 or 8 kick-off. The Bolton team were in their London hotel at the time. Pitch totally playable, but environs dangerous plus the problem of getting 60,000 people home.

The lateness of the decision means that it could happen here too.

Re: Were Diamanti and Ramsey booked for their celebrations?

When you've scored you can run around the pitch like a looney, you can swing on the crossbar, you can disappear under a mound of players, you can give Kingsley a good kicking. You don't get booked for any of these and they celebrate just as much as taking a shirt off. Memo to stupid footballers: if ...

The Guardian did the same thing, but over the last 10 years. Reading came in at a creditable 26th place.

If we raise our game as we did against Liverpool 1-1, 1-2 or 2-1.

If we go back to boring boring league mode 0-3.

Full marks to Tyldesly (sp?). After Siggi had his shirt pulled and got pushed in the back, CT said " If that had been Gerrard in front of the Kop he might have got the decision". Did any of the Scouse fans complain about this decision?

Re: Weekend Football 19/20 December

Lampard scores 3 penalties in a row. The laws state that if defenders encroach and the penalty is scored then the goal stands. OK, a few Chelsea encroached a little, but the vast lemming-like waves were all West Ham players - surely the ref should have allowed it. On the other hand the law is on th...
