Re: Latest set of company accounts

I would like to see how it compares with other clubs in the division. Grayson at Preston was at pains to point out that he thought PNE were the only profitable club in the division or words to that effect. Noticed Chelsea (obviously a slightly different case) lost 70mill last year Also in a world wh...

Re: BTFS - QPR

Kermit should have scored the first to be honest - he mistimed his jump. Was a cracking cross. The second was far from easy The soft southern bit I agree with. I do think we are a bit of a good pitch/good weather team at times. Still does mean if we are still in the mix come March with better weathe...

Re: Latest set of company accounts

that loss of parachute payment has hit very hard there

It doesnt look too special from that it has to be said. I suppose one slight positive is it doesnt include the money from the Norwood and Tish sales

If we don't achieve promotion, it does look like we are reliant on player sales for a while.

Re: BTFS - QPR

to be fair, Holloway got it right. They certainly aren't a great team, but their tactics were good and you would have to credit him for that

Re: BTFS - QPR

I don't agree with any of the comments about players not being bothered etc - just a depressingly poor performance Jaap has done absolute wonders, and that shouldn't be forgotten, but I do think a lot of the performance was due to tactical errors. Obita for example was obviously dreadful, but he was...

Re: Thoughts from a neutral

yeah good review that. Totally agree on the McCleary/Yann point - very frustrating when you can see that those 2 are causing issues yet we are just not getting the ball to McCleary enough. Been a theme of most games I've seen to be honest this year

Re: BTFS - QPR

Meite looked at threat certainly - would have put him on at half time Beerens was poor - but I did think last 15 he did provide prob our only real danger Evans should have started no doubts. McCleary did ok when he had it - very disappointed he got so little of the ball Just a poor day all round. Re...

Does anyone really care if Mackie is booed or not? Football fans hardly driven by being reasonable are they?

RUbbish so far.

Agree tactics are wrong - Evans should def have started if playing 4 at the back.

Front 3 have barely had a touch, and whenever they have they have lost the ball.

Re: Rumour - Scott Hogan

he has scored 1 for Derby I believe- against us obviously He was never an 8mill player much as I admired his effort here - and will fall further down the queue at Derby now that Nugent has gone there. Mind you when it looks like Brentford will get 15m for a player who has had 2 serious knee injuries...

I'll be surprised and disappointed if we don't win this comfortably. Will go for 3-0, Williams, McCleary and Yann

I'm sure it will - we re very soft down this way. This kind of weather is pretty much standard fare in northern holes like Preston and they just get on with it and play the game

Re: BFTG - United (A)

All this goes to the very heart of our defensive woes and why signing someone like Ilori is far more significant than paying megabucks for a striker when Kermorgant is finally adding goals to all the other good stuff he brings to the side. Kermit is currently Japp's number one regardless of the pri...

Re: Tomorrow's Match at Risk? Snow!!

Forecast only suggested rain in the early afternoon and maybe a little bit of snow about 4pm. Game should be fine, just hope any that falls and the relatively strong winds doesnt become a leveller
