Re: Englands Best Striker?

I would say that Rooney had the maverick attitude coached out of him, he could have truly been mentioned as one of the best players in the world if he carried on on his early path rather than a good/great functional plodder he has effectively become.

Re: Which game will you watch tonight?

You would think given this isn't even the 2nd occasion that Suarez has presumed to have bitten someone, why hasn't he sort help after the 1st or 2nd incident and if he has and he is still suffering then why is he allow to continue pursue a career in something that sees him do this?

Re: World Cup Build Up Thread

Fcuk me sideways, the Brazilians are the most one-eyed and self absorbed International football followers around. They make Liverpool & Man Utd fans seem broad in their outlook. Talk about thinking they're owed the World Cup every time they play, John Barnes was swooning all over them like a st...

Re: LCFC Match Thread - Sponsored by We've got the record...

I'm slowly losing the motivation and passion to keep following the team and although I will always love the club is it worth the time, effort and money to watch this group at the moment? I know it seems a rather strange time to say this after a very creditable result against Leicester but again it ...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Reading a Serie A roundup last night I saw Gervinho referred to as 'the early season stand out player' which had me double checking the person they were referring to. He plays on the wing for Roma and scored twice for them yesterday as they went top of the league It helps that he has Rudi Garcia ma...

Re: The generic transfer thread

The groin problem Kaká had aggravated towards the end of his time at Milan relapsed shortly after his €65m move to the Bernabéu and the imbalances it created were impacting on his knee . He’d had surgery and undergone a cutting edge biomechanical study pioneered by his personal physician Toribio Le...

Tokyo Sex Whale I see where you're coming from but Luiz is a completely different type of player to these boys IMO.

From Beckenbauer and Baresi yes, but he is a carbon copy of Lucio.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Will be world class. Defining a new sort of role for a defender, in that he can be world class in that position without really being able to defend in the conventional manner. Somehow seems to get in the way of play, make tackles and wonder stops on the regular. It's not a new role it's been around...

England U21 lost tonight in their European Championship opener. No surprise with that useless prat Pearce in charge . Relegated as a manager with Forest, abject failure (and sacked) at Manchester City. And he gets a top job.....because he pumped his fist so hard when he scored a penalty against Ger...
