Re: Rumour - Saeid Ezatolahi

If he is available on a free, I would give him one more chance to get his career launched. Sign him on a one year low risk deal. He did look the part and is another threat from corners with his height. And he is young. There is every hope that he can overcome his injury niggles and go on to have a s...

Re: Striker PRIORITY

In terms of service, That ball in the last moments of the game at Derby from Masika that was just inches from Meite turning it into the net for a last gasp equaliser was quality. That is the kind of service that we need to see a lot more of. I think Puscas, Baldock and Meite could easily get into do...

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

According to the Chronicle the Royals are awaiting confirmation of how the season will finish before deciding what to do about season ticket refunds. Royals, if you are listening. I don't want a season ticket refund. Just make it something people have to apply for so that those who really need the c...

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

I won't be asking for a refund. The last thing the club need is more financial pressure. But I agree with Schards that the players should show some solidarity with the supporters (Bowen & Howe already have) and take a temporary financial hit as well to help the club navigate tough times. We are ...

Re: BFTT Barnsley

I also agree about the not needing five at the back. It's time to rest Morrison in my opinion. He made numerous mistakes against the Brummies as well as scoring for them. And tonight he made a terrible mistake which caused their goal. We need an extra body in midfield. We are not dominant enough and...

Re: BFTT Barnsley

Awful performance. Ejaria needs to help us earn the right to play our football. First do the dirty stuff. Close down, press the opponent. Win us the ball. Then play your silky football. And make sure you release the ball earlier. Use your twinkle toes when it's necessary. But, please first of all se...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Blood and thunder football is back at Madejski Stadium.

They were gutsy, full of balls, full of running, fighting for every ball. Football is fun again. Long live Bowen.

And the Royals are marching UP UP UP!

I said could be.

They showed strong potential to form a good partnership.

I used the Lovell / Nogan comparison because two small guys can be very effective together.

Re: BFTT - QPR (A)

Puscas and Baldock could be the new Lovell/Nogan partnership.

No big man, but with good understanding and movement between them they were highly effective. Puscas and Baldock look like they can develop a real partnership together.

Lovell/Nogan also operated in Quinn and Goodings 3-5-2 formation.

Re: Next Manager

Hughes would be a very decent appointment in my opinion. Certainly he knows what he is doing. Certainly he knows how to play football. He does have a very drab and dour demeanour. That is the reason why people don't like him. But he has taken Blackburn to the top 6. He has achieved all of Stokes bes...

Re: GOMES OUT!

I think the problem for Gomes was that he was unable to manage expectations. He convinced everyone that we will be taking 2 points per game and we will be pushing for promotion. He set expectations too high. He allowed complacency to set in and was clearly out of his depth in the end. He was a great...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Our last 6 games have been horrendous. Why is it a manager cannot be judged on that? Zip is so blinkered on the Gomes issue, its worrying. It’s called having an opinion my darling. I have been very critical of our appalling style of play and formation but feel he should be given time to sort it out...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Clement was very unlucky with injuries as well. Ezatolahi looked like he would be an immense presence in our midfield. I'd rather Gomes kept him than go for Pele who doesn't look half as good. Baldock suffered miserably while Clement was at the helm. Constantly in and out of the side. Obita out thro...

Re: GOMES OUT!

My opinion on this is that without speaking to Gomes, I would not be sure if Gomes should be sacked or not. These crunch talks between Gomes and the club are crucial. I think the squad has weakened since the end of last season despite some impressive looking signings. The balance of the side has bee...

This Reading team will surprise quite a few clubs this season.

I can see us nicking this. Resolute defence and Puscas breaking the deadlock in our favour.

Found cheap tickets?

I paid £84.55 for train tickets for three people. 2 adults and 1 child. It wasn't particularly cheap like the Hull train tickets but what can you do. It's better than driving all that way.

Re: Gomes Interview

We won’t be going down but it will be very interesting to see what squad he has to work with next summer. Don't get complacent. It will only take an injury to Miazga, Martinez or Oliveira and we will be in deep sh't. Luck has not been going for us for a long time now. Hopefully we'll be alright but...
