Too many players to choose from, so many that I really can’t make my mind up. Shocked to see that Trevor ‘Stabber’ Morley didn’t get a place in anyones Team, not even the bench. He was probably one of the classiest strikers to pull on a Reading shirt. Hard working, full of guile, could turn on a six...

Re: Paul Ince appointed interim manager

I would have preferred to have seen us lure Scott Parker away from tinpot Bournemouth but I guess that the EFL embargo has put pay to that, which is a shame as I’m sure Scott would have jumped at the opportunity of joining a bigger Club.

Re: BFTG QPR (a)

The traditional protest is to boycott the games, but that’s not popular with season ticket holders.
So long as fans buy in, the longer they’ll keep serving up the same.

royalp-we Back on point. For anyone still on the fence - if we lose against a sixth tier side and the lowest ranked team in the competition tomorrow will you still back Pauno to turn this sinking ship around :?:

What you have to remember is that we are going into this game as the underdogs.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Kidderminster Harriers (a)

Hendon 1975, they were really up for it and we were a bit complacent and just couldn’t match their enthusiasm, and they deserved the win. Off the pitch, it was the height of hooliganism. I wore the uniform of the day, Doc Martens, Levi Jean Jacket and a scarf tied around my wrist. They were bolstere...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Tony Barrass

You sure about that? Coventry was missing Swift, Yiadom, Araruna, Meite and Ejaria Preston was missing the same plus Moore. That's four to five first team players out Wouldn't have counted Yiadom and Araruna but your point still stands. I suppose those games came when we had been flying high and an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Tony Barrass

The other two games in January are home and away against Coventry and Preston-two fixtures that one might expect to pick up points from but they are two teams that we have already lost against recently with almost our full squad to choose from!!! You sure about that? Coventry was missing Swift, Yia...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I find it bizarre that people get all wound up about taking the knee ( a respectful, non aggressive act) but don’t seem to worry about the players combining it with the raised fist, which you could see as a much more confrontational gesture with connections back to the Black Panthers. A lot of fans...

Snowflake Royal Seems a rather daft and literal response to a hypothetical question meant only to provoke discussion.

You’re obviously going through that stage of life where you are trying to impress with big words and eloquence.
You’re missing the point in your pretention, the threads a load of bollocks.

Re: Would you take 4th place now?

No. It totally misses the point of what the game is about. The only reason for the club to exist is to play 46 games, it's not about being 'given' a particular finishing place. There would be no satisfaction, or even validity in such a finish. I want to see us play games and then finish wherever th...

I remember Watford fans being upset at us singing that about Mariappa during the match when we scored the ghost goal. Ghost goal? It was in by a mile :D Yes, I was there and clearly remember the move, the style, the shimmy, the dummy that found the space, and the ball hitting the back of the net. T...

It is, he isn't a football manager. Pretty obvious and you're massively in the minority amongst the wider fanbase. Enjoy being wrong. Is he though? Or is it a case of those who are unhappy are shouting the loudest and most frequently, when everyone else is happy just to move on to next season? See ...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

I think Thames Valley’s mounted cavalry baton charge on over excited youngsters after we scored in the home leg of the Play Off semi final against Wigan was hard to justify. I’m not condoning pitch invasions, but it wasn’t that big and it wasn’t threatening, and it could have easily been dealt with ...
