Re: Bring back one player who could make this team sparkle..

Just one player, Forster.

If we are allowed to pick a few, Casper (no-one else has suggested him, which I find amazing), Darius, Little, Kitson and Cureton. Squad would include a slim Caskey.

Re: Fair Play - Reading in Europe?

UEFA offer a Europa league spot to the top three leagues, for fair play, in Europe. The premier league is currently fourth and we are not at the top of our league anyway.

akranes Being forced to eat cooked sushi every minute that we didn't score by the mascots.

That doesn't make any sense. It wouldn't be sushi if it were cooked. Do you just mean fish?

Sushi is cooked rice plus other stuff, sometimes fish but not always.

Re: Early window/formation

marcusopp The main problem with playing 4-3-3 is that our best players are out wide. McAnuff is versatile, but the others are out and out wingers, so we kind of have to go 4-4-4 or 4-5-1.

If we can, I suggest the former

Re: Federici - the best keeper in the Championship?

On his day I think he is a good keeper, but the gap between 'his days' seem to be quite wider. And the way he dives for a shot, with his arm out straight (all good so far) but doesn't look back, just keeps his arm out, seems to say that 'I couldn't get there, and i'm nearly perfect so no-one could h...

Re: Interview with Federici on SSN today

I'll be the first to admit I've never warmed to Federici - he's always struck me as much too much "I am, I am, look at me" and much more of an individual player than a team player. Perhaps I just naturally hate arrogance, but he's always rubbed me up the wrong way from day one. And when y...

Re: A loan again (naturally)

From that list, Matthew Upson. As said above, he was head and shoulders the best player on the park, even at left back!

I would just like to mention Chris Casper though, as he looked the same when he was here on loan.

I seem to remember Chris Casper was very good, but no-one has included him. When he was here with Clements (from Chelsea?), we suddenly looked alright at the back again.

Re: Bristol's Coppell promises not to raid Reading

I guess he'll 'resist the urge' on the basis that we aren't going to sell anyone to him !! They make it sound like he could just turn up at Hogwood, open his car door and whistle and half a dozen players would happily jump in the back of his car. TBF, if he did then some probably would jump in

I know that footbal has changed and that it is now big business, but what would be the point of promotion? I personally find the little teams going to the big teams and trying to hold out for a 0-0 really dull, but it would happen quite a few times a season. Do you really want to see that? Thats wh...
