Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

morganb Couhig wants £12m
Dai has ring fenced £12m in escrow
Therefore what is there to be agreed?
If Couhig wins the full amount (unlikely?) then he'll get the full amount from the account - it's sat there waiting
If he wins less then Dai's lawyers get the remaining balance

Corrected for you.

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Yes it was. The lawfirm which sent the request to return the relevant documents back, resigned from representing (and now suing) Reading FC, so according to RC he cannot return them. RC is now is also suing Dai/RFC so is keeping them until the outcome of the case in July. That is what I can make ou...

I could be pedantic and point out he's owned Casa Pia for 4 years but I won't.

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Couhig wasn't exactly in it for the long haul at Wycombe, about 4 years. Became majority shareholder in February 2020 Platek oxf*rd up in Denmark but has publicly acknowledged what they did wrong and seems to have learned from his mistakes. Le Spezia are no worse off for his ownership. Casa Pia are ...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Highlights nobody around here has a clue what is actually going on at the moment. Pulled from pillar to post with a ton of machinations going on. At the end of the day RC managed Wycombe into a very useful well run unit. Meanwhile Dai and his entourage of advisors (whoever they may be) have managed...

Doesn't sound like there's much to add from what was said in the podcast with Aaron Paul and Joe Jacobsen earlier in the week.

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

I'd presume it's something that would disappear pretty quickly if a sale was agreed.

Looking at their client list, we're not looking at the Liam Moore end of the wage scale.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Shit idea,if you ask me. My take is that you get 100,000 randoms playing £60 a year to own a club. What happens when after 2 years the novelty wears off for 20,000 people? Incidentally, there's a club in Scottish junior football run along similar lines but IIRC, they're effectively a start up. (Cale...

Also says that if Dai engaged, he'd buy the club tomorrow.

With reference to the women's team, he said he had an investor lined up to fund it.

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

So Couhig buys the club for £15m, £6m of that goes into escrow pending the court case, Couhig wins the case, gets 6m back then flips the club for £20m. The talk at the time was of him trying to knock the price down and he's clearly got the inside track on the full state of the club. Voila profit in ...

Re: Marcus Hahnemann > Shaka Hislop > Adam Federici

Shaka. Just in a different league. Slight weakness with crosses to the far post but more than meade up for it in pretty much every other part of his game. Marcus was a solid but largely unspectacular keeper. Federici was good on his day but always had a brain fart up his sleeve. Al Habsi's an odd on...

Re: Ivar Ingimarsson > Tyler Bindon > Liam Moore (in his prime)

 how could I forget our sexy Polish legend I arrived just too late at the party for Dariusz. I saw him play once - as a sub in our 3-3 draw at home to Crewe early in 97/98. I'd started coming to Elm Park during the season before. Transfermarkt says he was 'not in the squad' for much of the t...

Re: Ivar Ingimarsson > Tyler Bindon > Liam Moore (in his prime)

Bindon has the highest ceiling, Moore was probably the most technically capable of the 3 but Ivar just fitted. CB is all about partnerships and the one he had with Sonko is the best pairing I've ever seen in a Reading shirt.

Easy to forget that for the 2 seasons before 05/06, Kitson was the one player that made us worth watching.
