Reading dominated the second half but always looked vulnerable to Wigan's bold attacking instincts with stand-in centre back Andre Bikey a tower of uncertainty at the heart of the Reading defence.

Bikey had a good game against Liverpool because he was sat in the middle of the park breaking everything up and pinging a few balls around. Last night he was diabolical and looked much worse than those early Sonko days. Murty was laying into him after about 5 minutes, Ivar, Shorey and Murty were co...

I worry how we will do against a good Premier team without Sonko.
I hope Shorey is well enough to play and Convey can continue to improve on the left.

Overall, Bikey is looking a good understudy if he doesn't lose his concentration so I'm optimistic.

The question should be 'Are Cork still livid with themselves for letting two quality players leave for peanuts?' Typical Irish, always someone else to blame and bitter as you can get. They can't get over the fact they messed up. This transfer should have nothing to do with the Doyle and Long deal, ...

De La Cruz has funded schools and medical centres In fact, De La Cruz practically bankrolls his local area in the absence of any real government funding, or interest. Among other things, the money Reading pay him is currently funding a medical centre, plus the salaries of a doctor, dentist and nurs...

Re: Are you happy...

... with the press attention that we have had in 2007 that has taken away from our performances on the pitch. So far, we beat West Ham 6-0 and the majority of the reports focused on how bad West Ham were and their own particular crisis. Then we get a great point at Everton and a lot of the reports ...

did he send Gillespie on with the instruction to bash Hunt?

Don't think so - he would have put a hard-man on if he's wanted that to happen.

He's a fairly senior journalist, isn't he? You'd think he could get some media coaching to help him come across abit more professionally.
I wonder if he ever watches his own blogs?

Absolutely class finish - many strikers/midfielders wouldn't have kept their heads and would have failed to convert that chance. Also, what was all that crap about no pace. Fantastic pacey run forward, (left everyone for dead) to support Bobby as he broke forward and that in the last minutes of the...

That was his best game in a Readig shirt. He does have some glaring weaknesses, obviously, but he also does some things exceptionally well. Right - did you see Sonko telling him off, like Ingimarsson used to do to Hunty. Ulises IS getting better, we've seen a lot of players improve under Coppell.

Re: De La Cruz

bracknell loyal royal! Discuss.

Why did Coppel pick him, he's no more than League 2 quality.

And yes i'm very happy with a point but he's terrible.

He's better going forward than reactive defending, and I couldn't look when he conceeded that injury time free kick.

But what are Coppell's choices? Tell me mate
