Honestly not trying to be controversial here, but Tom Hark seems quite popular at the games. Large majority of the stadium seem to 'dance' along to it.
And I REALLY like the video of the Premiership highlights with the Lux Aeterna theme
Some of you may know i am an Upper Wester STH.. in the WAGS section.. Something has been bothering me though, why are we.. in Upper West the only entrance not to have stewards on the gates, no checks performed on match days at all and you go round to East/North and South stands were there are aroun...
I only came on here to give you an insight into what it's like. You want answers after answers from me which I simply don't have. I work 5 hours part time per week and do the job i'm told to do. Stewards and Fans are never going to be the best of friends. When I watch my team play I prefer to stand,...
Some people are never happy. Standing, sitting on steps, standing in the concourses (which we have to do), bus queue. The stewards could be saints and it wouldn't be enough.
If only Reading FC was as 100% perfect as the rest of all our lives, it's such a letdown that it's not.
The club can't have one rule for people at the back and one for another. It has to either be all standing or all seated in the home ends and the club is told by the FA that it has to be all seated. Persistant standers are not chucked out at the time, but are indeed banned from the stadium afterwards...
Can you comment on the suggestion that asking those standing at the front of the group will lead to those behind being more inclined to sit as they can then see the game and not the back of the person in front of them? Yes this makes sense, and recently stewards have started working from the front ...
I do not have the stats i'm afraid, I just turn up and try to do my job and the people upstairs look after that sort of stuff. Would you really want to test the water of the FA's threats? Chill Winston. I'm not having a pop at the stewarding or the stewards, you will find no lambasting of them on t...
Look, i'm not here to try and change your views, i'd lose that battle straight away, I only wanted to make you aware and possibly understand that the abuse stewards get is out of order. I would be ashamed of anyone that condoned abuse of stewards, BUT there is an underlying issue here which IS NOT ...
Without blowing my own trumpet I always try to be curtious towards fans so I cannot say I have experienced the rude stewarding, but I believe you and apologise on behalf of them. Many probably get annoyed with having to tell people the same thing week in and week out without people listening, as the...
Look, i'm not here to try and change your views, i'd lose that battle straight away, I only wanted to make you aware and possibly understand that the abuse stewards get is out of order. The issues you have with standing should be taken up with the FA or the club, not the men and women who turn up on...
RoyalBlue 1 Yellow Jacket 0 End of the day Stewards are like traffic wardens. Surely you must know when you take the job that you're not going to be universally loved. I often think to myself....why would anyone want to be a steward!? I agree, we are all aware we are not everyones favourite people ...
Either standing is against the regulations and unsafe, as the club keep claiming, or it is not! The rules should be equally enforced for both sets of supporters and seeing people turfed out, even if only for that game, would hopefully discourage some of the other away supporters from standing. [quo...
As has been pointed out, it is infinitely more difficult to control away fans who simply don't care if they get banned. Just because you don't see them being physically removed doesn't mean they aren't dealt with. Persistant home standers aren't dealt with at the time, they recieve a letter in the p...
