Re: Weekend Football

Very good win for West Ham with Rice and Ogbonna out - decent end to end game Antonio and Lingard were ripping Wolves to shreds in the first half, another unfortunate injury it seems for Antonio and if he’s out for a while, along with Rice, I can see that being the end of their top four chances I'd...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Even with a couple of decent U21 players in the full sqaud Boothroyd had more than enough talent in his squad to get through the qualification. No excuse.

Re: England - the future....

Southgate has a hard-on for Pickford and Mount so they will undeservedly start Mount is entirely deserving of his spot and is greatly underrated. Maybe doesn't have the natural flair of Grealish and Foden, but incredible work rate and he is consistently improving himself technically too. He'll work...

Re: England - the future....

My Euros starting line up: Pope Alexander-Arnold Stones Maguire Shaw Henderson Rice Foden Grealish Kane Sterling Could live with this too; having to leave out one of Foden, Grealish and Mount is a great position for any team to be in. I just hope he makes the tough decisions picks a balanced team w...

Re: World Cup 2022 qualifying begins

Zip Ireland’s demise is no loss. A truly awful football nation with their prehistoric hoof ball style of play.

There really isn't a worse international side you could watch in terms of entertainment, utter dross. They need a complete reboot.

Positive news. The players will soon learn the value of a healthy breakfast.

Stranded What's happened at Torquay? They seemed to be walking the league last time I looked but now seem to have fallen apart.

Nothing I can say, total eclipse of the heart!

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2020/21

Haaland with another brace yesterday as Dortmund won 5-4 against Sevilla over two legs Juve out in the last 16 stage again, this time losing to Porto. Admittedly not a huge fan of away goals, but surely it’s an unfair advantage being away in the second leg (especially with no fans) as there’s alway...

Re: Weekend Football

Slightly bemused as to why Pep has stopped playing Foden from the start recently given how well he was playing. Scored at both Anfield and Goodison, playing well, but then hasn’t started a league game since Everton and perhaps coincidentally, haven’t looked as strong since then Would get it if it w...

I like Roy Keane, very entertaining. I can't stand Souness, when your analysis turns into a meme, you know you're doing something wrong. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DwE9DsMX4AACNvI.jpg That is what I like about Keane, he is an equal opportunity bastard and nobody is safe. Souness seems to go out of...

Paul Lambert has left Ipswich with a possible takeover looming Seems he made a few enemies at the end of his tenure Lambert’s career has gone massively downhill, wonder if he regrets leaving Norwich? He's an awful manager bar his spell at Norwich, who we have seen are a well run and reasonably well...

Re: Weekend Football

Good recovery from Bolton, albeit League Two is very tight - they went from 19th to 9th by winning four consecutive games, and are still only 10 points ahead of Stevenage in 20th. There's always a very weird symmetry to the top of the table right now. Every team down to 10th is 1 point behind the p...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-56167487 Everton FC's plans for a new 52,000-seater stadium have been unanimously approved by city councillors. The Premier League club said the Bramley-Moore Dock site will be the "most sustainable" stadium in the UK and hopes to host game...

Re: Weekend Football

Fair play to Man City (can’t find a single thread for them) - had written them off after last season and the start to this one but they’ve been magnificent since Christmas time Not blowing away teams like they used to with plenty of 1-0s but their defensive record is superb (again, credit to Stones...

Lower West Marcus Hanneman 2005/06 season. 46 appearances - 22 clean sheets.

Nah. He had a massive amount of protection in front of him.
