Re: Mystery 1981 Home shirt - Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I also have the 1984 Home shirt made by Patrick, 1987 away, 1989 Home & away, a bunch of 90's too including the 91 away made by match winner and also the very rare 92 3rd shirt, the red & yellow one. I didn't know where to post it, I thought anywhere else on the forum ...

Christ. This is awful so sorry CR. How old was he if I may ask? And yes he was the go on here for youth updates. Although I would question his unwavering support of teddy howe and how it was a mistake we let him go.

On This Day

On this day in 1976, Robin Friday scored what is reckoned to be the best ever goal scored at Elm Park with his sensational volley v Tranmere. Sadly no footage exists, so you'll have to take the word of the 100,000 who claimed to have seen it.

Can anyone who was at the game please describe it?

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

1mill per month divided by the 26 first team players who have made a first team appearance this season equals 38.k pm per player. Or £9.6k per week on average per player. That figure must be all in? Surely. Players, coaches, non playing staff. I don’t see how we can have an average of 10k per week ...

Harvey Knibbs is the first Reading player to score 15+ goals in back-to-back seasons in 19 years (since Dave Kitson, 2004/05 & 2005/06).

Re: Marcus Hahnemann > Shaka Hislop > Adam Federici

That said, McCarthy against Liverpool is probably the best single performance I've ever seen from a goalkeeper. Those of a certain age might remember Steve Francis at Ipswich on the last day of the 86/87 season. We were absolutely battered, but Francis kept their score down to one, and Steve Richar...

Re: Ivar Ingimarsson > Tyler Bindon > Liam Moore (in his prime)

Hard to say with Bindon, he's so young, and untested at Tier 2. And CB is very hard to boil down to three. If you're taking prime Moore, why not prime Sonko, Pearce, Gorkss, Williams, McPherson or Primus... ? I’m just throwing 3 players out there not necessarily the best 3 players we ever had. In t...

Re: Ivar Ingimarsson > Tyler Bindon > Liam Moore (in his prime)

I think it's far too soon to put Bindon above prime Moore, Moore proved himself to be a top Championship CB, Bindon might be too but he's played no higher than L1 level at the moment. yeah i thought i'd put the cat amongst the pigeons on this one. was going to go with Ady > Ivar > Moore. but though...
