Re: Pre-season games 2023/2024

Another :| friendly.

Would much prefer some local non-league sides to get the confidence up and try and hit the net a few times. Our threadbare makeshift squad taking a beating against Southampton in front of 3000 fans wont do much for anyones confidence.

Re: The 23/24 season build up thread

Sutekh Hope the Reading players take a look while they can as I doubt they'll see much of it after 5 August.

They wont see that Premier League ball at all :?

Re: Pre-season games 2023/2024

Great to see the trip to Spain is going ahead - reassurance that actually, some things are alright and perhaps a return to business as usual. Communication would be helpful, but i am, for the moment, seeing this as a positive. Coupled with the change of wording regarding HMRC, today is a slightly b...

Re: Pre-season games 2023/2024

So the club aren't paying tax but are forking out to take X number of players and staff to Spain for a week? Something doesn't add up here. Doesn't look good does it. Can't pay players and staff on time and has HMRC chasing us, but we can spend money arguably unnecessarily going to Spain for a trai...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.0

If you step back from the crisis, we still have loads of potential as a club. Stadium, training facilities, academy, large catchment area, relatively recent success. A savvy investor would see the current crisis as an opportunity to make a bargain purchase, so I would expect interest. But "we&...

Re: New embargo incoming

Anger is now starting to turn to emotion. When is someone going to hold the EFL accountable? The Premier League had already told Dai to do one after failing their FAPPT, but then the EFL totally ignore the fact he'd owned to Football Club's already and both no longer exist due to his financial mism...

Re: Selles out

I'm happy with him. Who realistically would you be expecting considering the mess we're in? Saints fans were saying yesterday that he likes to keep possession and play on the front foot, favouring a 4-2-2-2. He was well liked in the dressing-room and great with the young players. He's clearly eager ...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

I know it isn't the popular view but I am prepared to give Selles a chance, he was very well thought of at Southampton and lets face it, they were down before he took over. He did improve them too. The question for me is whether we're able to give him a chance. I don't mean the fans; I mean the clu...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group

Will be interesting to see what they plan. If the home atmosphere becomes toxic it will impede the team , but I'm not sure how to tread that line. The fans know it's not the fault of the players. Any protests inside the stadium and outside will all be aimed at the dipstick owner and his muppet plac...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

WestYorksRoyal need only look at Coventry to see how idiot ex owners can play hard ball with empty stadiums. And where do Coventry now play? They pulled off an annoying stunt for a few years but ultimately found no value without Coventry playing in it. And how long were they unable to play there, a...
