Re: Twenty’s Plenty!

superb stuff from the club, and even superberer that they've removed my only gripe with 20s plenty, but offering 20 quid tickets to home fans in the north stand too Maybe it's because times are getting harder or maybe it's because fan pressure is beginning to pay off. The PL has brought in a cap of...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty!

Fans are the beating heart of football and those who follow their team home and away should be appreciated How about you give the same points for an away game then. They do. See the STAR membership benefits thread. Indeed. This is an idea that arose from the Royalty Points Review that STAR carried ...

Re: FAO Star

Sebastian Star, why was HNA excluded from this meeting? Why did you use TTE instead of the more reasoned, considered posters on HNA? Seems quite discriminatory to me.

STAR didn't do the inviting.

Re: FAO Star

As a response to our letter to the owners last month there has been a meeting between Tiger, who seems to be getting a grip of things, and STAR representatives and other fans.

There is a report of the meeting on TTE. Overall we were encouraged and have the sense of a fresh start being made.

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

I'm really surprised that they reckon the capacity of Worton Grange was only 500 cars. There always seemed more cars than that at busy games. I also wonder which car parks were operating under capacity as the Holiday Inn car park always looks pretty full (or are they including Park and Ride when th...

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

Why focus on non park and ride spaces ? Park and ride seems a reasonable option when there simply isn't land on which people can park and walk. The key will be making the ride bit efficient so the time it takes to get back to your car by bus isn't significantly longer than the time it took to walk ...

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

STAR gathered responses from c100 supporters at the time of the public consultation in Oct / Nov and those views are also reflected in this thread. Our main concern is that a proportion (unknown) of our support will find the lack of alternatives to parking within walking distance of the stadium (fol...

Re: Reading FC (Holdings) accounts 2014/15

So all this mumbo jumbo aside what does this actually mean then? Will the accounts not be made public anymore? As previous years STAR got some bloke to go through the accounts and gave a lehmanns view on them, is this not possible now? Are us fans now completely in the dark about the finances of th...

Re: Bradford Pitch invasion fine?

STAR have made a statement on our website about this, basically saying the amount of the fine was harsh, but nevertheless it's a warning to our future behaviour. 'Exemplary' fine seems to be the word, rather than 'appropriate.' The situation was exacerbated in our view by a number of factors: - show...

Re: Torquay Wall Collapse

Agreed it raises safety concerns for the officials down in the english riveria to answer - all I'm saying is I don't suppose it will get a 20 minute feature on Newsnight tonight off the back of it. Noone died. Indeed they didn't - but imagine if a kid had been up right at the front. And actually no...

Re: Torquay Wall Collapse

I've a horrible feeling that this might be viewed upon as an incident caused by terracing as opposed to seats and for that reason I'M OUT Certainly not - this is an incident which I believe was caused by inadequate design and management - all areas for supporters, whether seated or standing, should...

Re: Torquay Wall Collapse

T.R.O.L.I. As to why the wall was built in such a way - well, surely that's a question for TUFC to answer?

Or the local safety licensing authority - there are questions such as why was a safety certificate issued when an inadequate wall like that was there.

Re: Torquay Wall Collapse

What procedure would there be if someone was to assist you? I was thinking of going direct to injurylawyers4u or the like By giving me the information so I can establish just how big this issue was - I'm working with the Safety Advisory Group at Torbay Council who have the statuary responsibility f...

and I'm discovering some extremely interesting things out such as? Having a single block of brick wall isn't going to hold the weight of numerous fat blokes celebrating a goal? No sh*t, Sherlock. There's a whole lot more to it than that, though, and so I'm asking for the assistance of people who wa...

This morning I've been talking to safety authorities in Torquay, and I'm discovering some extremely interesting things out. Re: Standing at home games

Also, the ConDem coalition has asked for unnecessary and expensive quangoes that fulfil no useful purpose and which should be abolished - the FLA has already been nominated as it meets all the criteria they're looking for. £1m a year to fund it. But it wouldn't change the law. It would just move th...
