Something racist, since deleted and reported by a moderator I am aware that it was RockheadRumple who modified Ideal's post, what I am incredibly concerned is that this was posted and passed by without a second glance. I appreciate the banter that is on this forum, I have been on this forum for ove...
yep 2008 was the worst, unlike this season where we have been in the bottom 3 most of the season we were lower mid table for a good part of 2008 and then dropped like a stone after Jan allowing Fulham to catch us up especially in the embarassing 0-2 defeat at home near the end of the season we slipp...
Hi All I suppose this could've been placed in General football but unfortunately this will be relevant to Reading in the very near future. The relegated teams this season will receive £48 m over 4 years so I presume this will be 12 m per year(is it linear like that ??). Well suppose Reading gets pro...
Talk sport confirmed three will be a minute silence this sat........ For Hillsbough SJM can have his private minute silence for thatcher at the same time.
I haven't checked the whole to see if this thread to see if the following had been mentioned but when Dellor was interviewing the sacked McD he asked him if enough was done in the January window to get players in McD replied that he bought 4 players in Jan, most than the majority of the other prem t...
No Wilshere or our usual tormentor in chief Walcott it will be closer than our usual 4 goal league defeat to them I can actually see us sneaking it 1 - nil
The other thing to consider is that Alf is best used as a super sub this is likely to continue with whatever manager comes in. Does he rather sit on the bench of a premier league club or a champion ship club ???
Everton's a strange team, they can completely dominate you but get punished because they are not ruthless enough in front of goal, as we witnessed in the home game, if the right team is picked I see it as a tight game with only one goal in it (either side) or a draw
It is kind of the same theme that was raised in another thread, this time the article was from the ESPN blog:- Royals lack mentality to handle relegation pressure Posted by Jon Keen After Reading's woeful surrender to Wigan in their crucial relegation six-pointer on Saturday, I wonder just how well ...
Hmmm that ESPN article was very interesting, in a way looking into the minds of our 2 most introverted managers McD and SC and how that reflects on the team when the pressure is on. As seen in the Wigan match (and the Fulham home match in '08) there maybe an ounce of truth in the comments in the art...
Even though it would be great to get welbeck, would prefer if Mcd could prise Anderson off Fergie on loan, if he was able to stay fit would provide a good attacking midfielder option, which we need more right now than another striker.
If we can get Arshavin (on loan only mind) to replace Guthrie in the 5 man midfield and for Carrico to replace Legs that would hopefully give us the stability and attacking threat to give us a fighting chance to stay up (hopefully)
I would take him on loan for the rest of the season put him in the Guthrie position in the 5 midfield to provide us with more of an attacking threat, with him being on loan means he knows he is in the shop window so he will need to perform to attract interest from clubs whilst helping us to get out ...
I predict that we are going to see a much improved performance today, hopefully McD will be going 4-5-1 if he does I can see us taking the lead and holding it until the last 30mins before losing 2-1
The saddest part of his analysis on monday was Nevelle showing all of Readings defensive frailties in his pre match analysis, and in the first half Reading providing him with loads of examples to verify that viewpoint during the half-time analysis. As he said it was like a "broken down record p...
Was looking at an interesting article on the bleachers report website:- http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1037696-5-worst-ever-teams-in-premier-league-history On it's stats on the 5 worst teams in PL history Click on it and enjoy reading, and wonder based on our current form is there any chance of ...
TBH I don't understand why you are all slagging him off. Yep he has been having an absolute mare for most of the season but he is not exactly the guy picking the team and saying to himself "let me pick myself even though I'm playing crap" if the manager can't recognise how bad he's playing...
Unfortunately shuffling the team and not the system is like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic, doesn't make any difference. stability was required last night after all the goals that have been conceded and a 5 man midfield should have been deployed especially as it seems that he is never goin...
