Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by an utter shambles

Where's the energy? Jesus we've been massively outplayed that half.

Hello btw. Not really been on here for years. Friend of Leon, don't hold that against me.

Re: CHAMPIONS!!!

Was watching the Saints Boro game in the Nags Head in town. The building nearly collapsed when Boro scored that free kick. F***cking superb, what a day. Thank you Boro.

Re: Bar 1871

Rules are rules, quite right. But at Parky's testimonial there had been no issue about taking beer in to the seats so I'd assumed it was ok.

Regardless of that, my point was really about there being one rule for me and another for someone else.

Re: Bar 1871

Remember that pointless celeb England v Germany friendly when Boris Johnson rugby tackled some German player? Well I was sat in the Upper West (for once) in the normal seats, in the last seat before the red hospitality seats. A steward came up and quite rudely told me to get back down in to the conc...

Re: Murty's Testimonial

I would have gone if it had been against Celtic or some other proper side, but a youth team v old boys runabout on a Monday night seemed like a load of pointless backslapping. There is nothing exciting about a match in which a player takes a penalty against his own side. Murty is a great guy but has...

Re: Little joining Pompey

Yeah maybe he's over the hill, maybe it's a good move for him to spend his final year in the Prem, maybe it's a good idea for Reading to release some money to bring in new blood. But players like Glen Little are why I pay money to watch football, and we don't have many of those. Gutted, was planning...

Don't understand this. Hunt has been one of our better players this season, he's far more effective than any of our other wingers in the last five years with the exception of Little - Convey's never done it consistently enough. OK nobody except Kits is playing wonderfully at the moment but I tell yo...

Yeah the 3 points was all that mattered today. People are moaning having won but imagine how bad it would have been if we'd lost. Get over the wobbles of last week and restore some confidence in the side. Fortunately for us the other results went our way too. And for god's sake give Rosenior a chanc...

I'd rather have Oster than Seol on the right at the moment. De La is a very worthy replacement for Murts, but we could do without any more injuries and suspensions at the reebok...

what does it matter?!! a good sportsman would always kick the ball out of play when someone is injured no matter what rule there is, shame you dont get many of those in this day and age! its a disgrace. Not when said injured player has run to the halfway line before going down. Last weekend Benni M...

I'm absolutely staggered at some of the comments on here. People slagging off Murty, Shorey, Cisse, Seol and Long for not running rings around a team that cost hundreds of millions to assemble. Pride of place goes to Andy RFC's "same old Reading" Where the f**k have you been the last two ...

Jim McIntyre was for quite a long time the only non-defending player at Reading who could head a football. He did pretty well for us on the left after taking a while to settle in. Jimmy Mac's strike rate of 14 goals in 97 games isn't brilliant but it's 7 times better than 1 goal in 48 games. Paul Br...

Don't they get helmets with Turbans on top? I did always wonder whether they could make turban material that incorporated some kind of steel mesh to give motorcycling protection. Maybe there is a marketing opportunity there.... Didn't Del Boy already invent that? IIRC It was called the Trotter Cras...

Holloway is a good lad but he's talking bollocks here. What he proposes is a return to the bad old days where if a player wanted to leave a club he could be retained against his will, after his contract of employment had expired, and forced to rot in the reserves for having the impudence to ask for ...
