Re: 4 home-grown's in match day squads

I would prefer to see a requirement for at least 4 English players in the squad (I don't mean British as we are an English league club), regardless of age. That's breaking EU law. at strap. I went through this yesterday for somebody, and now one of the users who should be aware of the in's an...

Re: Alejandro Valldeperas

But considering there have been more Venezuelan Miss Worlds than any other nation, I imagine this is another distraction to the footballers. The words 'attactive Women' , and Scotland are words that don't often appear in the same sentence. outrageous, I don't know what you're talking about.... http:...

Re: Alejandro Valldeperas

Maybe, however I can't see Venezuela being a hot bed of talent considering the most popular sport is baseball, closely followed by sleeping and drinking whiskey . Scotland still manage to produce some half decent players  True, and they don't even like baseball, its just drinking whiskey, sle...

Re: Stephen Hunt `Prem is place to be' From the RC

Am I the only person who thinks that Hunt will be worth a lot less to us in the championship where (please god) we're trying to win a lot more games, not just chase the oposition? When we did so well it was in large part due to Convey's attacking powers, which I still think outhweigh Hunt's and hope...

If you didn't mean "big black athlete" in a negative way, then why bother post it? What relevance is the colour of is skin?

I suppose it could be a complement, but that'd wouldn't really fit the rest of the post.

Re: Who Will Go Down - Last 4 matches.

I'm as depressed as anyone after saturday, and I still can't see how on earth we're going to stay up, but a look at oddschecker has cheered me up no end. Those clever bookies (all of whom are a lot richer than me!) seem pretty sure its going to be Fulham and Bolton, and thats good enough for me (hon...

Re: If, and a big if, we stay up what are next season's hopes

Much as I agree we need to strengthen, am I the only person who thinks that whoevere comes up this year is going to be odds on to go down, even more than normal?

Or have I just become one of those pampered premiership fans who forgets that there's life outside the chosen land?

By the law of averages he is due a helluva run on saving penalties now that's for sure. So, starting now..... Unfortunately there is no such thing as the law of averages, if you spin a coin 100 times and it comes up heads a 100 times, the odds are even that it will come up heads again the 101st tim...

I might (more than likely) be wrong again, but I though the whole reason Ireland was split was that the majority in Ulster wanted to remain part of the UK, not part of the ROI? Isn't that still the case? And pointless trivia time (what else have we got to talk about for the next few months) is anyon...

Got the following confirmed in email by PP last November. Drgba was indeed given a large handicap, as last year he was nowhere near as prolific as this time round: R Van Persie (+14 goals) R Keane (+14 goals) T Henry (scratch) L Saha (+9 goals) A Johnson (+10 goals) K Doyle (+16 goals) M King (+13 g...

Sorry to get technical here, but its incorrect to say that the English owned parts of france, or (as some would have you beleive) that the English Monarch has a claim to the french thrown, as it was actually the Normans who invaded and took over England. If anything the current British head of stat...

I've got money on the same with Paddy Power, which looks equally good.

Unfortunately Drogba seems in line to win the handicap top scorers table, unless Doyle can get 2 more than him in the remaing few games (and one more than McCarthy) to net me a nice £250.

We're already upsetting the establishment by coming from nowhere (in the eyes of the media at least) and giving the badly managed "big names" a run for their money with a fleet of young highly efficient players, and honest modern management style. The appalling, over priced food, incompeta...

I was lucky enough to have this as my first game (apart from a few as a young boy in the Tilehurst end with my dad, so they don't count). I clearly remember feeling very faint at the end, and I'm so glad I had the good fortune to get hooked with a game like this, rather than watch some turgid affair...
