Re: How not to win support for your cause

l feel Danny Rose has done the “Kick it out” campaign no favours with his comment about the fine dished out to Montenegro (20,000 Euro). “When countries get fined on what l probably spend on a night out in London what do you expect?” Just how divorced from reality are these overpaid prima donnas? Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

I expect such great things from the young players that you hear so much about as they move through our youth system that their emergence is always disappointing. I bet the same is true for even the biggest clubs with many feeling a little underwhelmed when they see Foden or Hudson-Odoi at the moment...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Would be more than happy with: Miazda Baker Ejaria Rinomohta, Baker and Ejaria, were better today than WBA's midfield: sharper with better first touch and winning more 50/50s. Olivera is injury prone, so not too bothered about him. The goalie seems out of our league, so why set myself up for the hea...

genome VAR, all is forgiven. Spot on.

It was. Llorente's goal won't stand next year, but this year all the decisions were right.

Re: BFTG - PNE

The first half was great: for once it was us who seemed a bit bigger, faster and stronger in the tackle than the opposition, and for once it was the opposition who gave a way a goal. In the second half, they played into our hands with all that injury nonsense. The game never got going. Goalie: 7 Bla...

Re: England - the future....

It looks like we are going to have fantastic attacking players for the next few years, and you have to thank Southgate for that. Who in their right mind would have picked Hudson-Odoi for this game? The defence might be the key to winning things. The first goal showed that we must remember to tackle ...

Re: More rule fiddling

All of these rule changes seem needless. This fiddling reminds of some of the reasons why rugby isn't very good.

The worst one I heard was that handball no longer has to deliberate if it leads to a goal.

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I like it at the moment. There are lots of good things about Jose: He has played the same team two games in a row. He handled the Mings incident with a bit of class. He says we need to win games. He is playing the five players he brought into the club. I really like the way Swift is playing. The goa...

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

My memory is Sidwell is very different to everyone else's (except perhaps Hoop) - I would say he was much better defensively than Pogba (arguably even in absolute terms given that Pogba doesn't bother to defend half the time) but was not a "classy" player even for this level. He was more ...

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

Matejovsky. I think the meme at the time was "the rest of the squad weren't on his level" Great passer, shame he would have been more mobile if you stuck him on a mobility scooter Shame he couldn't pass to actual Reading players, but the passes he made to imaginary strikers bursting...

Re: Worst Reading XI

I was at that game, and no way this team wins due to Primus, Caskey, Parky, Archie and Lambert (who was doing something very naughty indeed in his personal life, but I shall say no more) However if we were to rate them: Scott Howie - truly awful Stuart Gray - truly forgetful Andy Bernal - Limited, ...

Re: BFTG- Millwall (a)

Both look very harsh red cards to me. Both looked absolutely nailed on to me. Blackett jumps into a challenge, both feet off the ground clearly endangering the other player. That's a red all day long and has been for years. Bacuna deliberately stands on the player on the floor. It's much more subtl...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

It would be lovely to think that Pochetino might be content at little old Spurs, but he will be off as soon as a truly big club come along: Man Utd have only to ask, and he is theirs. They won't flinch at spending to get him, or bankrolling raids on Spurs for a few players.

I think we're down. Clement seemed to be generating a bit of team spirit and was picking players on merit. Rinhomota would have kept us up on his own. A new manager will get money to spunk on some more Alukos.

Zip I still wish we were called The Biscuitmen. Who decided to switch to the Royals? Supporters? Chairman?

We should change nickname again when the Queen dies.

Re: SpuROFLs

Kane is playing in a different position this year, with Moura coming into the side and Dele Alli being injured, as well as being knackered, so to still score loads of goals just shows what a natural goalscorer he is. He has actually looked quite a good footballer running wide and sitting back a bit,...
