A big LOL at whoever does the fixtures list in Sky Sports for thinking that our game against River Plate on 13th July is going to be at the Mad Stad: http://home.skysports.com/club.aspx?clid=108&cpid=8 ...and a slightly smaller one for calling all our Peace Cup games "friendlies" in th...

I find it amazing that with all the mathematical debating going on, and given the (near-successful) divertion of the thread onto something interesting, that nobody has yet asked the question "how many beans make five?" ...and I'm sure it could be argued that the answer would be different d...

This thread started as yet another depressing incidence of HNA? small-mindedness, yet was ably diverted into a much more entertaining and utterly random conversation about baking. I love HNA? again. Beat the bigots and boo-boys with banal buffoonery! was that Accidental or An Attempt to Alleviate A...

To go back to the roast thing. I do believe that roast beef is the correct nomenclature. Baked potatoes are put dry in an oven. Cakes are baked with nothing added. But beef and most other joints are basted , hence roasted. I've just had a thought. What about jacket potatoes, aren't they baked too? ...

whilst i agree with most on the whole potato roast/baked discussion the addition of baked beans to the list is plain wrong whilst indeed we cook the beans in the pot, or microwave(making them boiled beans) they are already pre-baked prior to entering the tin so really they should be called baked be...

Boiling beef doesn't really make sense to me, much the same as boiling a Ham before Roasting it.. Although I di...

In my house we appear to put our Baked Potatoes under the Grill  Translation for our...

Wheely good news for the lad. For how long are we going to go round and round all the wheel puns? Trust you to put a spoke in it! He is truly a superb player, very skilled and a joy to watch. As others have said, seemingly not a lot of pace (though I'm sure he has a good turn of speed when he's not battling injury, I've seen him move very quickly at times, just can't sustain it) but doesn't seem to need it! To be totally hones...
