Re: BFTG - Cheltenham

I really don’t get the negativity in BFTG. Cheltenham may be a likely relegation team but they are still experienced pros and for most of this match the Reading youngsters took them to the cleaners with 2/3 possession and limiting Cheltenham to three very tame attempts on goal. Cheltenham hardly lo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (a) sponsored by Jimmy Quinn

If Meite, Ejaria and Moore don’t make it, would go with this Rafael Yiadom Morrison McIntyre Gibson Richards Rinomhota Laurent Olise Baldock Joao Southwood Esteves Bristow Tetek Semedo Aluko Puscas Although wouldn’t be against Semedo starting tomorrow as this may be his sort of game And Puscas or B...

Jagermesiter1871 Any idea why the new kit wasn't worn yesterday?

They want to save it for competitive games.

Re: EFL Football to return behind closed doors

That’s all well and good wanting to play games behind closed doors, but this won’t stop fans going to the stadia in their thousands, will it? Could you imagine that Leeds’ fans (the biggest team in the land) staying at home? Then there’s the safety risk of those who do try to turn up, who might hav...

Re: Sheff Utd (H) Cup

Can't remember the last 'big game' feeling at the Mad Stad - probably Fulham in the Play Offs and prior to that it was probably Bradford replay. Hoping this game has the same feel to it - also hopeful that Sheff Utd continue their incredible form in the prem to keep them pressing for Europe, so the...

What are the words to the Allez Allez Allez and Swift songs please? We've conquered most of England, We thought we'd never stop, We've got the oxf*rd record, It took us to the top, Steve Coppell as our gaffa Thought Doyle would never miss, And when he scored at Leicester, We all went on the piss al...

Re: BFTG - Wycombe Away

As others have said, We looked brilliant for the first 20 mins, Ejaria and Boye were class. We looked poorer second half when Boye went off. Adam seemed to disappear second half. I didn't think Richards played that well it was only late on when we were chasing that he started overlapping on the left...

What’s Faraday Road used for now or is it just another building development? ... no idea - intention was to build on it - got no reason to drive near it now Newbury have upped sticks/been turfed out. :( Overgrown currently. Will be flats. The seating has been moved to Bulpit Lane, Hungerford.

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Has any one country provided all 4 finalists for the two main European club competitions before? Or 4 out of 6 in the "good old days" of the Cup Winners Cup? No, the closest anybody has got is 3 teams and only once has this been two teams in the CL /EC final all the other times it was the...

Re: The Non - League thread

For someone who likes to stand, Larges Lane is a horrible ground to watch football at. I’d far rather go to Raynes Park Vale or Colliers Wood than that shiny plastic dump. Bit of rise Bracknell could be on here. Now 1 win away from step 3 football for the fist time in 20 years or so. Only 4(?) year...

Re: Speculation - Players From The Relegated Trio

Yeh thats worked well for us in the past - Aluko, Pog etc. Pog was a free who scored 24 league goals for the club making him something like our 8th highest championship scorer. Its not his fault we paid him so much. No, he had no say in his wages. Also, that's not even correct. He scored 19 ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Looking at the teams relegated from the National League (Aldershot, Braintree, Havent and Maidstone) and the clubs coming up from the southern league(with the exception of SLP-C who should all go north). There is going to have to be quite a shuffle of teams from NLS. Oxford City moving north I would...

Don't be too confident that they will make a decision soon! 2 years ago it took them so long to organise a venue for Hungerford vs Maidenhead final that it was played the following season.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Looks like not a bad performance all in - have to remember that Bayern II play week in week out in the German League system - currently 2nd in the Regionalliga Bayern (4th tier) which is a decent level to test themselves at compared to the PL2. Agree with this completely, they were clearly a side t...
