Re: Spurs back from the Game/sofa

Disgusted by elements of our away support today. The constant abuse of Jobi today, from virtually the 1st minute, was a pre-planned attack, and a complete disgrace. The significant minority who were on his back about every little move he made, fail to realise how completely counter productive their ...

Re: Alex Pearce

Pearce has won me over hugely over the last couple of years and I really hope he signs a new contract. But as mentioned before, he has definitely benefited from the change in approach to 451. He played at home to Spurs (exposed by Defoe for his lack of pace) and away to the mackems more recently, an...

Re: RUMOUR - Danny Simpson

On the subject of Simpson, I think Gunter and Cummings will both be ok in that department. I'd much rather see us strengthen at leftback and for the umpteenth time I'll say this, I hope we look to get Martin Olsson from Blackburn. Agreed. Next summer Harte will be off and we'll have Shorey and Mill...

Re: BFTG - West Ham

As for the game, it was throughly entertaining, considering it was a truly horrific game of football. Kebe was so on it, it made me all warm on the inside. Cole, Nolan, O'Brien (Who are ya?) were all their dirty, thuggish selves as usual. WHam were a terrible footballing side, as bad us to be honest...

Re: BFTG - West Ham

Reading had some nice triangles going today until that useless donkey L,wood got on the ball. McAnuff needs to shoot more and the so does the team. Realistically Reading will probably get in 2 premier league old heads and a hungry championship player. Priority is a replacement for L,wood or a speci...

Re: Jobi jeered when subbed - drop or not to drop?

Some of the jeering of Ledge and Jobi is disgusting, infact all of it is. We may be struggling, but none of that is down to lack of effort or desire. Both give everything when on the pitch and play according to the management's instructions. Fans in short memories shocker (!)

Re: Back from the game - Swansea

It's a shame he's taken so long to work out the best way of approaching the majority of games in this division though. We've never had the quality to go toe to toe for 90 minutes in this division and the head start we've given other relegation candidates whilst figuring this out is going to cost us...

No it wasn't Gunter, it was Pearce.

Re: Back from the game - Swansea

Trouble is, in the first half especially, we were too keen to sit back and watch them pass. No point in chasing after the ball in their half if all they are going to do is pass between their back 4. It wasn't that we were keen to watch them do it out of any sort of respect. It was simply, what's th...

Re: Back from the game - Swansea

A pretty dull first half, where Swansea passed the ball around for 40 minutes, without any cutting edge and we were playing compact and deep, with the obligatory hoof up to Pog when we would finally break up play. We must have completed about 20 passes in total, in the first half. Second half was de...

Re: 4-5-1 at City

We go to City, with everyone expecting us to get completely murdered. So in a way, we have no pressure on us at all. With this in mind, I hope Brian uses the game to try a few new things - Fed Cummings-Pearce-Gorkss-Shorey --------Karacan---Harte----------- --------------Guthrie--------------- Kebe-...

Gary Neville's analysis...

Having Sky +d the game and watched it back when I got home after the live debacle, I really hope McD spends time listening to Neville's excellent (as usual) analysis and assesment. A lot of the stuff he talks about is what we have all been going on about on here. But his assesment of the goals we ha...

Re: The Obvious Problems Thread

There are clearly many problems. The formation and tactics is definitely one. We play direct like Stoke or West Ham but we don't have the strength and physicality those sides do (N'Zonzi, Walters, Jones, Diame, Nolan, Cole, Noble etc), and neither are we compact enough. Our style of football is only...

Re: Arsenal: Back from the procession

Pardon the cliche, but that was men against boys. Completely outclassed and it could and should have been 11 or 12, was it not for Fed. It was suicide though, going with two in the middle against Cazorla, Wilshere and Arteta. I'm not sure if McD's stubbornness/ego went against what was best for the ...
