Re: Roger Smee or John Madejski?

The Smee camp will be chock full of old boys like me who helped the club in its darkest hour. The Sir Mad camp overloaded with youngsters who only have memories of the souless bowl that carries his name. Perhaps in twenty years wev can have another poll discussing the merits of Lord Mad versus new ...

Re: Where would you rather watch football

Riseley I wonder what the split would be now.

Where did you spring from ?
I stopped posting after a particular savage Frimmers reposte and a Spacey diatribe against Cripple Creek.

Re: Brian: The right decision?

Just when you think the season couldn't get any worse - Brian gets sacked and now people are saying Di Canio is in the running to be next manager, not only saying that he might be, but actually calling for him to be manager! It's hasn't been easy to be a Reading fan for 46 years, but it may well be...

Re: Back from the game (or Watching Sky)

Have a bad case of sore neck after being buried under a sea of bodies when the third went in. My location next to the segregation netting left me no room to avoid the hysterical anger of the saints fans at the end of the game but work in Southampton was great fun on Saturday.

Working as I do in Southampton I would not miss this one for the world. My work colleagues already believe this will be their promotion party. I would very much appreciate a large spanner in their works please Brian.

Re: Thames Sports Investment

We all knew Sir John would sell sooner rather than later so the news is no surprise, all we can do is hope that he's selling to the right people rather than out of necessity. As to whether they're the right people, nothing is going to answer that question except the fullness of time. Wise words Hav...

The bean-pole boy I punchecd at the Rec in 1971 whilst serving my hooligan apprenticeship bore a remarkable resemblance to Frimmers.

Re: Hello chaps!

Now we've got Sonko, who was Man of the Match for us yesterday. What a player! Cool, calm, good header of the ball and organised our back four like no other. With Ingi out (but apparently due back in two weeks), we needed a CD who could cut the mustard and Sonko has been it! How much are you paying...

Re: Thames Valley Royals

We had a protest march to Elm Park on Millwall match day with a starting point of St Marys Butts. Maxwell had the balls to turn up in his Rolls Royce to try to explain what a wonderful idea the demise of RFC was. He had to beat a hasty retreat after a short time. We then proceeded to the cathedral a...

Re: All fans coming to Portman Road on Tuesday

True Ian, although we haven't always had it our own way in this fixture. You have turned us comprehensively over a few seasons ago 3-0 here. Talking to my fellow Town fans last Saturday, they were dreading this game more than the Cardiff one tonight. Hope you've already bought your tickets btw. £36...

Re: Best Ever Managers

The beautiful football of Mark McGhee and watching the almost suicidal attacking version practised by Jack Mansell were certainly joyfull times to be at the cathedral. MM shades it for me.
