Lita has a problem with the East Stand?

by M U R T Y » 20 Sep 2006 12:38

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the three goals Lita has scored at the madstad this season, he has celebrated in the southwest corner. He also ignored the chant of leroy whats the score last night.

Any reason why he might be ignoring us?

Perhaps his family/friends are in the SW corner.

Or perhaps he's heeding warnings about celebrating in front of away fans.

The Cameras will get his best side if he runs to the West Stand?

What a utterly ridiculous thread. Why does every action by any player have to be percieved in a negative light? I remember the discussions on here about whether Cureton gets on with other players when Forster scored the rebound from Cureton's penalty in the playoff semi final.

I should add that i couldn't give a toss where he celebrates - celebrating of any kind means he has scored another goal for us. URZ

He knows which side of the Mad Stad contains the real hardcore support.

I wasn't there last night, Leroy, but I guess it's the thought that counts!!

My sentiments exactly - in a game where his team were never in front against "lesser" opposition, exactly what sort of reaction were fans expecting?

Having said that I was disappointed with the team as a whole for sloping off at the end without acknowledging the crowd - no matter how poor the performance this would never happen with Murty on the pitch.

I wouldnt reply to chants from the corwd if I were him. Its ok if we were 3 nill up, but that sort of thing is distracting.

I'm not so sure - I remember commenting after the Man City game that very few players took the time to acknowledge the fans.

I think our players were getting off the pitch so the Darlo players could receive a round of applause from both sets of fans.

In the bad old days other team's players have done that for us.

He probably has friends or familly who sit there, either that or he knows I sit there and is desperate for my attention.
