Greatest Ever Reading player

Another poll for a week with no game...there could be a theme to these.

I know Friday got the vote of player of the Century etc, but let's face he got the vote for being an icon, not his footballing contribution. So forget the myth and use your footballing brain. Would you vote for him over any of the current heros?

There doesn't seem to be a Ronnie Blackman option? :?

Depends on how you want to measure it. In terms of achievement then I suppose Neil Webb must rank as the best. In terms of personal experience of watching them, then I would have to plump for our Polish International or Shaka

Is there a way I can add a third option....
'Any other player your care to mention that holds a place in your heart, that overides the logic of the achievement of the current side'

Well you need to refine your definitions here, are you talking team or players. There are lots of players over the years that have been individually better than the current crop

All of whom achieved exactly what with Reading (OK Webby did make it, but don't tell me Dixon, Senior, Blackman) in the Top Flight?

If Neil gets your vote then sureley the man who taught him everything he knows...Dougie ..should be considered..and a few of his team mates..
maurice evans...jimmy wheeler ...jimmy whitehouse...ray reeves..
anyone of whom would hold their place in todays squad with the benefit of todays technology

Kevin Doyle WILL be our greatest ever player.

Harold

David Lee (on loan from Chelsea). Scored about 5 goals in as many games playing at centre back.

He also scored for Peterborough during that spell with us.

Anyway, I vote for Quinn.
