I've seen an article somewhere, with this in mind. Trouble is I can't remember where. (I've slept since). It was either in a programme, sorry, Match Day Magazine or on the STAR web site.

Any body else know what I'm on about? I'll look in my programmes once I get home.

Charlton run buses from all over Kent to their home games, including the Medway towns, which has really annoyed one Paul Scally, chairman of Gillingham, who was very upset about 2 years ago, accusing Charlton of stealing his fans

There is a certain oddity about this thread. This is hardly the same as taking the p*ss out of Man U fans for having never lived in Manchester. Charlton fans can't really be accused of being glory supporters can they. Fair play to the exiles who still keep going.

Maybe its about time that Reading or STAR investigated the feasability of running coaches from outlying areas for STH

Agreed. Our catchment area has massively expanded, I know a couple of Aldershot fans that complain to me that the attendances are down at the rec because of us, which makes me happy. We have the whole of Berkshire at our feet to get more fans.

And North Hants and South Oxon too. A few Royals fans in Gloucester by the looks of it. I often see hoops and car stickers when I'm there

Theres at least 4 houses on my road in Winchester with Reading fans in them.

I don't know how often they go, but at least one of them (aside from me) is an Away STH...
