An enjoyable day out?

by Wakeyloyal » 26 Nov 2006 08:52

The Mallard landed at 11:35. Tube to Putney Bridge. Enjoyed a few beers in the Eight Bells, draught lager was like piss though!

Stroll through the park and a top quality hot dog in the ground!

Nice to see so many noisey Reading at an away game and pick up three points.

Ran the gauntlet avoiding the puddles in the dark. More beers enjoyed with a mouthy Tom providing the entertainment!

Circle line screwed up, missed train back up north, Shef U fighting each other on the train home, was entertaining! Back in pub at 23:35

I enjoyed the day! :D :D

Very much so.

A packed train to Paddington, entertaining those first class citizens with our Reading wit  , followed by a couple of pints in the Mad Bishop And The Bear. Tube to Putney Bridge, get in the ground early for a beer provided by a woman who looked like a spaceman.... £3.
Great atmosphere, lots of people up for it, which was nice. (lots of people standing too) 3 points in the bag, back home swiftly to get to henley for a party with a free bar. :D

Today?

BIG HANGOVER!

Do you mean the crazy woman who insisted she would piss herself if people didn't move out of her way? Crazy!

I had a top day out. Free parking, short stroll to the Crabtree, a nice pint or 3 of Fullers Pride, a pleasant riverside stroll to the ground, great result and a hassle free get away. :D

Only slightly marred by the hold up on the M4 at Jn 5.

Don't know what she was up to in the Gents, didn't get the story off my mate! Expect some of you can shed a bit of light on things?

She came out the front with her pimp where the lads were giving a bit of abuse! Her pimp pissed off but fair play to her she stood up for herself!

By a bit of abuse you do mean knocking her crisps out of her hand, but yeah she gave as good as she got. We only reason we moved her on was my daughter and her friend were playing around the side.

Perhaps all five of them were the only ones singing in the ground.

'twas indeed a great day out. Despite spending the first part of the day looking for a pub that didn't exist. Finally ended up in Zulus Bar - what a dive that was, but the Guinness was ok so can't complain.

Never been to Craven Cottage before. Nice to see a proper football ground. Only thing missing was terracing.
