Put it in a frame, add a little plaque saying what it is, and then maybe hang it up on the wall?

How big is it?

I would, but Mrs DG is less than keen! It's about 2 ft by 5 ft.

If its just sitting there, why not ebay it?
I'm sure it would fetch something respectable.
Does it have anything on it saying its from Elm Park, or a COA?

Yep, it's still got the auctioneer's sticker on it, and I've got the auction catalogue.

I am genuinely gutted that I missed the chance to buy part of EP. I would love to buy something of the old ground. If anyone has anything lying around that they don't know what to do with... I'd bet I'm not the only one who would cough up handsomely! So a message to all of you hoarders, please ebay it or sell it here.

I still have a number of "D" Stand seats that I might be prepared to part with individually for reasonable offers.

To be fair it was a free for all after the Norwich game.

I managed to get this after the Nowrich game from behind the goal at the away end. The stewards were just laughing at me as when I ripped it off the wall I went flying backwards and on to my arse. They were only interested in protecting the goal posts and netting. I did get some funny looks walking to the station with a massive Auto Trader sign under my arm.

I was only 11 when we left Elm Park, and my dad wouldn't take me to the Norwich game, as he wanted to get pissed with his mates.

I wish I'd been able to go. I only went to Elm Park 7 or 8 times (we lost every game without scoring), but it was where I saw my first football match and for that reason, its got memories.

It was hilarious watching people grab anything they could after the Norwich game - I saw one person pick up a drain cover.

OK it's from Elm Park but it's still a drain cover. Not really one for mantlepiece is it? Perhaps I'm missing the point.

I got a 1m x 1.5m patch turf from Elm Park. It is currently thriving in my back garden in Thatcham. If I ever move, the turf is coming with me.

Where do you make the centre spot?

Red car above the Elm Park writing I'd hazard a guess at. Or maybe abit further right as the Tilehurst End was bigger than the Town End.

I can answer this one.

At FT of the Norwich game I went onto the pitch with many others in search of memorabilia, most people ran towards the goals and signage but the centre spot wasn't busy at all so I ran there. I hoofed the actual spot up with the back of my heel and took it home where I gave it TLC for almost 9 or 10 months. It lived on my bedroom window sill, initially in an aerosol spray lid until I rewarded it with a proper pot.

I was still living with parents at the time and remember returning home one day to find out that my mum had thrown it away because she said it was going mouldy. I used to get so much pleasure keeping it alive and trimming it with scissors every couple of weeks.

I can send Googlemap links to my parent’s house in Maidenhead if you’re interested. :)

Plenty of the flip over parking signs still up along the nearby roads.

Nice big mirror like that - perfect for the bedroom!

My son has some of the bootpegs from the home dressing room fixed up on his bedroom wall - fittingly he hangs his football kit on them!

Also I have the Network SouthEast admission signs from the Southbank turnstiles - silly b*ggers forgot to include them in the auction so I gave Nigel Howe a tenner for them.

BenReadingFC, one of my few memories from the Norwich game was seeing someone fall on his arse ripping that sign off the wall, but am i correct in remebering that this wasn't the last game at elm park and there was a testamonial for the groundsman i think he was called gordon Neat or something like that (and perhaps one for someone like gilkesy) after the norwich game.

...unfortunately at the time i was too young to get any sort of trophy!
