DLC did well today. Like others have said - we had much worse players out there today.

bracknell loyal royal! Discuss.

Why did Coppel pick him, he's no more than League 2 quality.

And yes i'm very happy with a point but he's terrible.

League 2, Do me a favour mate!!

He had a good game today, he gave the ball away once or twice but who didnt in that second half and Hahnemann will know he was at fault for their goal.

Some royals fan on here are so fickle, it annoys me no end!!

he' only be fickle if he'd been heaping praise on DLC at some point. I doubt that has happened very much.

Other than nearly costing us the game at the end I thought he did pretty well.

He was solid, beaten a few times but on others did very well. He got forward twice in the second half and put a ball across that no one finished.

Looked mighty improved from the Arsenal game.

Crossed on the ground. OK if you have a definite target, but if you're just banging it in on a wing and a prayer, better to put it in the air.

... and in the gap between defence and goal, not behind them.

That ball could have been much more damaging had it forced the defender to play something that he wasn't comfortable with.

By no means did he have a bad game. In places today I thought he looked very good.

Struck me as the classic case of International standard player who is still getting to know his team mates and needs a few games for sharpness.

Surprising how the doom and gloom merchants fall out of the woodwork. Thank god they have no say in signings or team selection.

Avon Royal
Platypuss He was by no means our worst player out there today - he had a steady game.

Who was worse?

Did n`t think Shorey, USA,Harper,Lita did any better.
Hunt runs a lot but his final ball is terrible, thought Blakey had a great game,

I don't think we had any awful or obviously brilliant players.

The whole team did very well today - played as a unit.

Marcus did look a bit sloppy coming off his line - several times, but I have to think that Ivar and Sonks looked a little bit slow giving Everton too much space - I don't think Marcus felt there was a choice but to close-in.

I was most dissapointed with the play of Hunt and Haper - seemed there were a lot of passes to the other team between the two.

Once again the Reading numpties rear their heads. DLC had a sound game today as befits a regular international but not good enough for the usual brigade. Thank god none of these have influence over team selection. A Club is about a squad not up to 11 players approved by the fickle crowd. Come to a reserve or FA Youth Cup game and then they might change some of their absurd comments. But in hindsight most of them would not recognise decent football.

He didn't do much wrong today! By far his best performance for us and I was actually expecting to see a thread praising him, but silly me.

Wait a second, I don't understand what Fa cup youth games have to do with this..

Never been to one, are they usually of incredibly shit quality?

Why?

I thought coaches normally tell you to hit it across hard and low - more chance of hitting someone and flying in.

I thought he did well apart from giving away that free kick in the last second , I nearly bit my fingers off waiting for the kick to be taken . His passing was ok and showed a bit of pace , not as good as Murty mind , no way

I agree he wasn't too bad today but definitely not of Reading quality! I feel he's too panicky for right back.

This could be down to lack of games, not up to speed, not match fit, maybe.

DLC did allright, there were others that struggled.

Long for example got to the balls great in the runs but his lack of technique was alarming at times. Showed that as Doyle is out for a while we do need to sign a striker before the end of the window.

Lita I thought worked hard won good free kicks to take pressure off.

Hahnemann never looked comfortable after his early spill, and who knows where he was for the goal

DLC showed a lot of improvement today ...which it what Coppell would have asked for from him.
Showed the value of a good squad player.
Hate these people who constantly moan about everything unless it pin point perfect.
At times we were frustrating in our final ball and most were guilty of it.
Thought Shane Long showed improvements aswell.
