Bottom three - current form

by DrZoidberg » 17 Jan 2007 10:16

Assuming I pressed the buttons on my calculator correctly if West Ham continue accumulating points at their current rate they will end up the season on 31 points, which is what we have already .
( I ignored decimal places for simplicity )

I suspect they might improve their points per game ratio but if they don't we are pretty much safe already .

Teams below WH will not reach 31 on previous form.

There . Did that cheer up anyones miserable rainy morning in the office ?

Not even if we beat Chef you 7-0 and Warnock slips on a stray pie near the dugout?

It cheered me up, and I'm suffering in the summer heat of Sydney.

Well, actually, I'm enjoying it. I even got to see the Everton game.

Actually 'recent form' gives the Hammers a 28 point total come the end of the season but you're spot on with your 'season form' 31 points.

To save all that time on your calculator try this site http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/runin.html

Our 'recent form' gives us a squeaky bum 41/42 point finish though I suspect we'll finish closer to our 'season form' of 50/51.

I'd be happier if Warnock finally really loses the plot, thumps the ref and as a consequence the FA deduct 5 points from his team! Oh and, in order to save the ref from further punishment, Wally and Dill have to beat seven shades out of aforementioned Colin!

Takes a lot to make me happy!

Whilst West Ham are struggling and Wigan are going backwards I fully expect us (and hope) to be playing Colin's mob again next season.

Watford and Charlton are down. Between West Ham and Wigan for the third spot.

Plus Wigan don't deserve to have a team any higher than League 1 with their disgraceful support.

if we assume that Charlton and Watford are down,,,anyone want a bet on the third relegation spot... I will lay Wigan with anyone as I am convinced they will stay up.
