On MOTD "Reading made changes last year, because they were struggling . This year they're not struggling, but Coppell still decided to make changes" or words to that effect. What a tool. Yep Lee, we REALLY struggled in the league last year.

exileinleeds Loved on MOTD Dowie saying we had strength in our squad, and everyone agreeing SC is superb etc....but who is that tosser Dixon claiming that he's got it right this year "last year they were struggling and this year they are not???"

God grant us another season of struggling like we had last year.

alad I noticed that, I felt embarrassed for him. His knowledge was exposed and I was hoping Peacock would have pointed out the mistake.

Sorry - I looked for a MOTD thread and couldn't find one. Next time, I'll read every single thread just in case!

I thought MOTD was a case of them trying to say how great we were rather than how bad/unlucky Birmingham were, but actually they struggled to mention much other than Steve Coppell is a nice guy. They should have warned the pundits they were going to mention us so they could of done their homework.

At the very end, they almost seemed to say through gritted teeth "Reading have been doing well this season"! Long may it continue.

Shows how much any of them know if no-one corrected him. Dowie out ALL of them knew but is so jealous of Copps and what he's achieved he couldn't be @rsed to.

I think they all knew he had made a mistake but it would have been car crash tv if they had corrected him there and then. I think even Dixon realised he had made a mistake straight away as he appeared to stutter and looked rather flustered.

Long may we continue to struggle in the same manner as last season!

Dixon's a fool. Even those who have little interest in football know how well we did last season. Call himself a pundit?!

If the Beeb need to reduce their budget (not sure why they need three 'experts' anyway), I know one area where they can start!

Also last night I was shocked by Upson's attempted assault (double footed lunge) on Dave Kitson. Suprised this not mentioned elsewhere. £20m Bruce you are having a laugh.

Same. I didn't mention it, as I was sure it would have been mentioned elsewhere. As they said on MOTD he could have broken his leg.

It is incredible that so called experts know so little about football outside the "Big Four". Some guy on Talksport at 6pm can´t remember his name gave out 2 or 3 facts about Reading that were wrong , I sent an e mail he did read it out but still thought it funny to say we were formed in 1950 ,even though I had pointed out we are the oldest club in the Premiership and also that we made the semi finals of the FA Cup in 1927. No word of apology for his previous stupid comments, just a stupid laugh.

I then listened to 606 with Allan Green, he does have a pretty good knowledge of football life outside the top places in the Prem, he can carry on a meaningful conversation with fans from Blackpool, Stockport etc. He did n´t say anything about Reading as no one called in from our club.

The talksport fella was Terry Christian (sp) I think there was a hint of irony, there. He takes the piss out of every club other than Manure.

Alan Green is terrible, he openly admits to knowing little about clubs outside the Premiership because he doesn't cover their games. He just agrees with whatever the callers say most of the time unless he can slag Wenger, Mourinho or Ferguson off.

I thought he meant specific players were struggling, so he gave them a run in the cup...
